I had the same problem I favoured one party.
you can win the boss battles if you are very high levels but it is much easier if youve got another strong reserve team if your team dies -Answer by:jake94

You need to have the reserve team close to or the same level as your starting team. The reason for this is if your starting team dies your reserve team must take over. -Answer by:naphenro

You won't be able to complete certain tasks such as the Clan hunts. Some marks will only appear if you have only the ladies present (you can quickly change back to the guys though).
I find that Fran is one of the most useful characters in the game as she is quick and almost as physically strong as the guys pluss she seems to be more effective with bows - very usefull when you are fighting flying creatures and for saving he HP as she is at a distance

It is ok to favour one party but the boys shouldent be seprate from the girls. have them mixed up its much easier and assign characters to diffrent things. ie: girls healers, boys attackers. -Answer by:mark777

I think you should level them up to at least 25, so that if your main party dies, the reserves can survive long enough to heal your main party.

If your girl party members are the weakest then go to places that have the same level as your characters and go up each level (equiq the embroidered to double their xp get 3x of them).

Wow thats sexist....I don't no what ppl are talking about haveing back up partys eather.I don't faver even one in my party and I keep every one about the same level and I haven't have a problem beating any thing or one becuse of it and my party is level 50.

Well it happens alot beacuse you dont usually switch parties often but if that happens take one player out with a good lv and one with a low lv with the embroidered tippet and fight that way make the low lv a healer for the strong one and the high lv player kinda like a guardian for the low lv player.

Um yeah how do I beat gilgemesh the second time (the acient man of mystery, in site 11) I beat the 1st but hes realy hard the second and I got every one a level 99 and still cant beat him.?

A1:

Before entering the area try having as many positive status effects as possible - hastaga, Shellga, Protectga are always a good start. Make sure everyone has either a bubble belt or cast bubble on them. If you really want to be prepared do this with all characters as the ones in reserve wont ware off while they are not fighting.
It is also a good idea to set up gambits with arise/pheonix down, renew/curaja. I also had all my gambits set up to clear up all status ailments as soon as they happened and no attack gambits.
When I did this I had Reddas with me so the extra hands came in... well handy lol.
Firstly cast dispell on both opponants and do this whenever the need arises. Focus all of your attacks on his little companion to make the fight a lot easier. Once this is done physical attacks did the job steadily enough to ensure that Genji items were stolen. You can steal these items from him in both battles when his health is between 20%-40% and again between 0-20%. Each time he loses 20% of his Max HP he will speak to you and change swords.
Using this method you shouldn't take long to best him. I Think if you leave and re-enter you get a sword as well

Wow lv 99 and still got beat man yiazmats gonna wipe the floor with ya :P well to kill gilgamesh heal if a player is less than 50% hp take out the dog first he gets annoyingly powerful and steal the genji armor from gilgamesh while your gettin wiped after he pulls out sword of legend use phoenix downs to revive fallen players and then kill him with enkidu gone the fight is alot easier
