A1:

Just keep riding the airships where you can buy stuff doesnt matter where they go and he wasnt all that hard but then again i did a lot of side missions until i got to him

A2:

Travel to any location you want on a public airship not the strahl. if u havn't noticed, the pettioner for the hunt is in every aerodome. each time you travel to another arodome and talk to the boy, he will say things that seems to explain he feels the deathgaze closer and closer. the easiest way to kill deathgaze is to have the renew and reverse magick. the mark is not immune to reverse so cast that and then cast renew. quickly have someone cast any magick or attack before it uses restore. before you know it, you killed the deathgaze!

A3:

I started the flights in Rabenastre where the boy and his mother and father hire you to kill Deathgaze. When you get on board, go to the outside deck and speak to the people. Then go inside and take a cabin to end the flight. Go into the aerodrome and find the boy and his parents again. Talk to them and take another flight and repeat this at each aerodrome until Deathgaze shows up. As you speak to the people on deck, you'll hear various clues related to the hunt but there's no specific flight that he will appear on. The key is to speak with the child and his parents at each stop.

A4:

Find the family you got the quest from after each trip on the airship. The kid will tell you when you get close. It will be on the next ship after he says, "if you leave now you can catch it" or words to that effect.

A5:

Just save in the aerodomes. Pick one flight, if he´s not there
load your game and pick another. Continue this until something happens. Deathgaze is 1/4 easier than Pyralaster.

I can't find the white flan to get the key from sorbet. Where is it in the waterway? I can't get anywhere other than where I fought the Wraith and the other entrance that Kytes opened earlier in the game is locked... A detailed answer would probably be most useful ^ _ ^;

A1:

Ok the white sorbet is at the westwater way. Go to your map of the sewers and you will see Three big spaces (areas) In the west area is where the White sorbet is. BTW the other entrance that Kytes opened will remained locked so if you want to go in the sewers you have to go the other way. I recommend you be at a HIGH LEVEL above 42 because there are monsters that are lvl 39. Just to give you a heads up.

A2:

The white mousse is in the west sluice control at the southwest corner of the waterway. Use the only unlocked door to the waterway and follow the stairs to the left all the way around. You'll come across some marlboro enemies and perhaps a water elemental after you cross a bridge and you'll need to go down the stairs here into the large area. That is where the white mousse is at. Beat the other enemies in the are first because the mousse is a pain if you're at a low level and the other monsters make the fight a nightmare. Hope this helps

When you look at your map of the "waterway", you'll see a large area in the back that looks like a huge "square". Work your way back towards that area; you'll know when your close because you'll have to fight at least 5 marlboro kings plus a "light elemental". Three of the marlboro kings are by themselves and the other two along with the light elemental , are up front more.

Once the three marlboro kings are defeated, take sometime to heal yourself; you're going to need it then, proceed towards the back. The only thing that is now in your way from fighting the white mouse is the light elemental and the two marlboro kings.

The best way to approach this is to take on the light elemental by itself, then tackle the two marlboro kings that are blocking your path. When you have defeated the two marlboro kings, heal yourself and then proceed down the steps. Let the fight begin.

How do the Mist abilities work. I used Vaans once and it did 800 damage and I used it again on a boss and it did 200 (less then my sword does). Is there a trick to making them do more damage.?

A1:

To make them do more damage you have to string them together next time you do it make sure you have another character in the party that has one

A2:

The more you chain mists, the more damage it does. just keep hitting R2 until there's a button next to someone's name, then hit the button and repeat. Obviously you have to do this pretty fast, otherwise you'll run out of time ;P

A3:

Using just one stinks pretty badly, but if you have three people and then cahin them together(by pressing the corressponding button by their name above the time bar) they can do some pretty nice damage...when i was at level 17 or 18 i got a mist combo that did like 14k

A4:

You have to get more than one person with a quickening in your main party, (if everyone has a quickening, thats best) then string them together. You do this by watching the bottom right corner, you'll see the party members names appear there, keep hitting R2 until a name shows up in white and hit the button it shows beside their name to string the attacks together. The more you string the more the damage, and if you get enough together you'll get a big attack that damages all enemies near your targeted enemy.

Well theres no real trick as far as ive noticed anyway but ive notice that if you use more than one characters lets say vaan's and balthier has his ready as your using vaan it should say the names of the people that have their mp all the way up with quickenings just keep switching back and forth and if no names are high lighted push r2 and that will randominze it just keep doing that until ones high lighted but remember to do it quickly kuz ur being timed i myself have gotten a 22,000 or so damage attack and my people were all around lvl 20 to 22 so try it youll see

Uuuh... well regardless, the bosses are gonna have more defense, but the trick is, u havr to keep up a chain, so more that on character has to have a mist, all my characters have all three mist of there own, so its easy, and when u do a chain of over 4, u do a husge element attack!

Try to get chain quickening, e.g. 4 times lev 1, 4 times lev 2, 4 times lev 3, you'll get a bonus quickening in the end "black hole", it has massive damage like 60000, it needs luck though, so just try to cast the quickening as much as you can and mix the level

You have to chain attacks.if you start with three people who can mist attack, thats atleast three chains.if there is no name highlighted when using mists hit r2 quickly until highlighted. press corrosponding button.the biggest chain i got was 22, (very hard) you have to be fast or lucky.to optomize mist use first three characters mist until chain ends. replace one character with full mist with one thats used, leaving one fresh, two used(you dont have to replace all three at once).Mist attack with new character do as many chains as possible.(remember it is randomized so even if mist is empty as long as one person mist attacks it is possible to fill mist and attack again.)repeat until all characters are empty.in this way it is possible to get at least three seperate chain events each with the final move(catastrophe,arkblast,etc.)

A9:

I played around with a character having more than 1 and that seemed to help w/ damage. No combo got me 8k.

A10:

Use the R2 button (I think) as directed and when a person's mark shows (like triangle, X, square, or circle) press that. it's timed so you need to be quick.

A11:

Yeah it is Highly recommended that you have more than one character to do a chain of Mists. Hit Triangle, Square, Circle very fast. The higher the Mist level the greater your damage. When I was level 40 I did a nice one 26 Mist chains I went through, and did 47,521 damage exact. Note: that Mists are extraordinarily powerful against bosses, and even trying to overstep your boundaries using mists on monsters that you do not meet the requirements of beating can sometimes result in higher levelage, and good loot.

I'm trying to do the cluckatrice hunt. I've killed everything in the southeastern part of the map, but there is this lizard man (can't remember their official race) walking around. I think he has something to do with it not showing up. I can't attack him or talk to him. Has anyone encountered this guy? I'm at the point in the game where I'm about to enter the Willraith tomb. Weapons.. Sorry but I really am confused.. What type/kind of weapon must I equip each char.? I mean. Spears are tough.. But, I'm wondering if I equip to them the kind of weapon they had since then. Each person, can equip different things, no character has a certain "class", generally characters with most str+def, should be tanks, and therefore, defense specs, 1H+shield, while support class, with lots of dmg, should be spears, and generally imo, caster/healer should be guns, to hit from afar, stay out of range.. hope this helps

Well, if your char is doing ranged attacks, then you should probably equip heavy armor to make them stronger. Chars using daggers, or speed weapons should wear light armor to have more hp. People using stronger weapons should use heavy armor, and whoever you want to be your healer/mage should wear magic armor obviously. These are just my opinions.

If you wanna learn how the weapons work, go into your clan primer- then adventurer's tips (or some such) and Arm Thyself!
that section explains the weapons, and taught me to give my mages katanas, my tanks either swords or axe/hammers, and thief stuff gun and bow

A8:

You can equip any weapon you have a license to use to any charater you have. Don't stick to the class they begin with, use the strongest weapons and the ones that will cause the most damage. Make sure you keep a few bows in your inventoy to use for flying foes, but keep the strongest weapons equipped that are one-handed (1H) so you can also equip shields in the off-hand for better defense. Upgrade as often as possible and keep weapons in your inventory that have special abilities that you don't have in you magic skills, in case you come across monsters that cast magics you can't protect from. Remember, just because a weapon is available to use doesn't mean it's a good weapon. There are some weapons and shields that actually do you damage, so upgrade as needed and if you see that a weapon isn't that great, don't use it!

A9:

Well guns are only good against high armor enemies. Just becuase it has a lower power doesnt mean anything. ex. maces have lower powers than axes, but when a mace is equiped with penalo it works better than the axe cuz of her high magic power which determins the full power of the mace.

How can i get many gil to buy weapons and other stuff?

A1:

If you're lvls 15-30 or so, the best place I've found to get gil is the Lhusu mines, if you steal from the dead guys or just defeat them you can get lots of gil from the loot. They're easy to beat and if you stay on the mine tracks, they'll just keep comin' at you.

A2:

You can sell all your loot to get alot of gil.

Just kill monsters

If you steal from the Zombie Knights and Strikers, in the Sorchen Cave Palace, under Arcadia, they give you maggoty flesh, which you can sell for a lot of gil! Get about 80 pieces, takes about 30 minutes, and then you can buy everyone new armour and weapons.

A5:

Try to beat the same monsters over and over there loot gets better after you increase the chain levels

Poach madness and sell your loot too

A7:

Man, The Best spot to get gil when your about level 20-35, is at the Lhusu Mines at the spot where you have to hit the switch to switch the gates, about 15 flans will jump you and they can divide making more, nice exp 330-410 exp per kill(410 if there not a clone) and they will drop colours of vials, which sells for about 500 gil each, excellent way for money at a low level

Go to henne mines and kill those flying things and get a big chain, they will drop lots of crooked fangs that sell for a decent ammount of money. they are also very easy to kill.

A9:

In the henne mines in the southeast corner, there is a place where jellies spawn. They give good xp and drops. One way you know that you are there is it is a small place and you can change the doors to open. After all the jellies have spawned, go to the next room and stand outside for about 5mins, then go back inside the room, hit the switch and the jellies will appear.

A10:

Go to the garamsythe waterway and keep fighting the
malboro kings and 9 times out 10 they'll keep dropping the malboro fruits. they are worth money trust. i had 44 and got maybe like 22000 to 25000 gil once i sold the fruit. that better................. but be aware they are hard

A11:

Get to Feywood and head to the southern portion of the map. There will be a save crystal. Now head east and defeat all the mirrorknights. Now head north and take the first exit to the east and travel south to the next exit. You should be back in the area with the save crystal. Continuous this loop, but do not touch the save crystal. I made 230,000 gil in about 30 min by selling all the loot.

A12:

Go to the feywood were the mist is thick. There a large number of wolfs in the eastern part wich usally drop " Prime pelts " once defeated. After clearing the map of wolfs go to the map to the west, then to the north, and finally back to the east were all the wolfs will be regenorated. It will take time, but after the first load of pelts you'll be glad you did it.

A13:

Get to Nam-yansea and keep killing the urutan yansea and they will drop some earth stone, the earth stone is not high price but if u kill chain is very high and you will get 2 or more earth stone on each kill, get it until u get 99 earth stone.

Hi, any weapons is up to you. currently i am using vaan, basch and fann all the way... and weapons im using was sword, axe and bows. kinda handy :)

Vaan=Katana or greatswords-Basch=Axe or greatswords-and Ashe=Plain old smallswords

A3:

Vaan = Spears, Poles, Daggers, Katanas.
Ashe = Bows, Swords, Poles.
Basche = Swords, two-handed Swords, Katanas, Hammers, Axes.

A4:

Vaan- Axes/Hammer
Ashe-Staffs

A5:

Any weapon is the same for any characters, but of course, different weapons, have its pros and cons.

A6:

I use a Zodiac Spear for everyone lol

Basche = tank 1 hand shield
vann = dps weapons
ashe = main healer and nuker

A8:

Best Warrior is Vann, for his Speed and Strength
Best Mage is Ash, for her Magic Attack Power
Best Support is Balthier or Bash, One for Vitality and the other for Highest HP

A Good team has a Strong Melee Weapon, A Mage, and a Ranged Weapon.

Sword + Shield
Rods/Staffs
Guns

At the end of the game you'll want to use Great Swords and Poles only, maybe a Mage but I think you'll have enough Magic Attack to heal for 9999 anyway with Curaja

By the way, Fran and Basch seem to have the lowest average stats, Penelo has the highest MP but thats not important to say the least.

Vann + Ashe are a must have on any team.

I have vaan with the excaliber or any other great sword, fran with a bow, ashe with the masamune and genji armor and gloves so she attacks more, balthier has the zodiac spear. the others i dont really care

I do not set my characters to specific roles. I did do that for a little bit, until I finished the License Board for all of them (I did that early on) but I do equip them with weapons that can suit a party and an individual. I left my Fran with her bow (Yoichi is amazing for me right now) and nearly everybody else has a Deathbringer (with Balthier switching to guns when needed) and my Penelo has either an axe (her strength isn't the highest, but the axes don't seem to get any better or worse based on strength anyway) or a Deathbringer. I tried experimenting with katanas, measures, bombs and what not, but I don't find them very practical.

A11:

Vaan= Poles, Spears.
Balthier= Guns, Bombs.
Fran= Bows, Crossbows.
Basch= Maces, Axes.
Ashe= Swords, Daggers.
Penelo= Ninja swords, Katanas

I used this style of choice throughout the whole game and did very well. Just keep your ammunition no matter wat kind it may be. And allways keep a longrange fighter with you.......For me I used Fran cause Bows are awesome she allways scores criticals with the bows and half naked bunny women are very pleasing to the eye and help time pass by. LOL.

A1:

You must be appox lvl 40ish before u try...i used belias n then my mists..i used vaan, fran, n basch got their mist chain to 17...then switched my party to penelo, ashe, and balthier. i used their mists right away n got another mist chain to 16. when the trickster gets to less then 1/4 health he is immune to physical damage so bust out the magicks n hes done for...not too bad. i got kinda lucky with the mists tho.

A2:

Eh, well make sure you kill the stupid elemental that is there, because if he turns aggressive he can make things A LOT harder for you, but trickster isn't too tough when he's running around, just make sure to cast spells on yourself like protect and shell, and make sure your gambits are set to heal.

A3:

I had vaan 40 fran 40 and basch 39 when i killed it, i meleed it until its health was down under the last question mark and use quickining if u try and go past that he becomes immune to physical and u have to wait until the immunity goes away u shoudl have around 50-70 hi potions and about 30 pheonix downs

A4:

Easiest way to do it is to go in, hit him hard with melee with Gambits set to Curaga anyone < 90% health. Once he's down to < 25% and immune to physical damage, bring your reserves in with gambits to cast drain. He's dead in no time, plus drain keeps you healed. I used a level 41 Vaan with lvl 31 of the rest to do it.

A5:

I was at about level 25, i just misted the heck out of em. when my 3 party mebers ran out, i switched a fresh person in, and mist chained all over again. i got lucky and with my final mist attack, he wasnt at 1/4 health yet, so i never had to deal with him being immune to physical attacks. since i was so low of a level, any attack he did killed me. you just have to act quick.

A6:

You guys are trying waaay too hard.. Listen, I was in my early 30s when I beat it... Melee the giant chicken, then when it becomes immune to damage..

USE DRAIN!!!

Don't just sit and wait for the status to go away... that takes too long and it just burns up your items...

This is one of those "are you compident enough to think outside the box" battles... you will face more in the Pharos Tower...

It's not all about power,,,

A7:

Keep up physical attacks until hes immune to everything ( he should be glowing red by that time ) and then have all your players cast bio. should be a quick fight.

That's what I did at level 29, don't over think things so much guys!!

A9:

The most annoying thing about that monster is that he is immune 2 physical attacks ,, I just kept on hitting him untill his immune shield falls !
keep hitting him , use berserk and haste and leave the rest
