Xenosaga: Episode 1

I'm stuck in the Cathedral Ship at the boss battle between me and the Gargoyle. My team is Ziggy (level 16), KOS-MOS (level 16), and chaos (level 17). I don't use the A.G.W.S. unit until it's absolutely necessary. All three characters know Medica, and chaos has Healing Dew. I keep a good stock on all Med. Kits and Med. Kit S. Does anyone have any tips for me?

One person figts using the A.G.W.S. at the start of the battle and thats the one that the monster focuses on and you will win. But it does'nt that the others won't get hurt or killed in the process. -Answer by:naphenro

What you should do is get a lot of level ups and increase your tech attack moves for your characters by earning T. Points from fighting enemies. Shion's medica all helps and you can transfer it to other characters. By geting level ups, you can get certain moves. Example: At level 20, Chaos can get angel blow which attacks all enemies. Another way is to go to the menu and go down to where it says character and press it. It brings up the list of characters and click on the character that you want. Next it will say if you want to equip or unequip weapons/ect for your characters. Down below where it say unequip, it will say improve T.points. Click on it and it will show you the characters and if you have enough tech points you can improve your strengh, evasion, and so on. It will tell you the maxium for each one and if you reach the maxium for lets say evasion it can not be improved until later on in the game. Guarding can help out to. By guarding against the enemies, it will reduced how much the enemy takes off of you when they hit you. When you guard not only will it reduced the amount taken from you when the enemy hits you but you can do a tech attack. If you hit once then press x, it will let you do a tech attack when it is your turn again. Extracting skills and then picking 3 of them to set can help. Also transfering ether skills to others can help out a lot.

Use Chaos, Shion and KOS-MOS for the battle. Make sure you're fully healed before you go into battle. When in battle, go to the menu and select A.G.W.S. for Shion and Chaos. Then use the physical (square) attack (A.G.W.S. only). Use the Ether (triange) attack for KOS-MOS. Be careful of the tremor attacks though, those kill you quickly and you CANNOT heal yourself in an A.G.W.S. unit, so be careful. -Answer by:mia12
