Q: I tried to get final attack butican reach it I just keep hopping to the other rock what do I need to do?

A1: You have to press the O button at the exact moment you land on the rock with the materia on it and before you begin the jump to the next rock. It has to be timed perfectly or you'll just jump passed it again. Luckily you can keep trying over and over until you get it. It took me almost a full minute to finally get it.

A2: If you master an entire set of materia i.e. command, magic or summon, which takes a very long time, then you can get a master materia for that type. you could also try your luck with emerald weapon and then you get all three types for defeating it and giving the earth harp to a man in the western most building in kalm, upstairs.
