Use your mist technique and jump alot, mind the time you have of the mist and just keep using it. Its very tedious and one wrong move sends you back, so dont mess up. (if you do and you're a mad gamer like me, you'll get very angry very quicky)

You can also try to run a little before you hit the start button, getting your speed up to max. That's what helped me.
You can also use dash in between the wheels. you just have to be careful. that part is the one that annoyed me the most.

The whirlpool is really a cluster of stars, up on a place called watchers cape. As you came into the coast, you probably saw the cat statue across the river that has the broken bridge thats beyond repair. Hop on Orca and sail to the tall tower, which is the source of the meowing Issun will have mentioned. Climb up to the top of the tower. (There are some spots you can stop and feed a cat or collect treasure along the way.) Once at the top, Issun will make a big deal out of how theres nothing to eat up there for the cat you find at the top. Feed it and a constellation will appear. This will give you the power of catwalk, the power to walk up walls. Return to the spot with the cat statue across the river from the broken bridge and draw a line up. You'll find a man watching the stars, paint a dot in the sky, and when the whirlpool galaxy is in view, run to the viewing point and use galestorm to spin it multiple times. Under the galaxy, a whirlpool will appear. Hop back on Orca and ride right down to the dragon palace. :3

You will need the lightning power so when you pass the elecrtic ghost then attack the yellow hayozo with the lightning attack. remember each hayozo needs a certain attack for it to dissapear.

You can get the thunder edge when you defeat True Orochi when you go through the Spirit gate for an easy win.
When he charges at you,quickly move aside. When he takes out the sword, go to the brush screen & quickly drag your brush from one pointed tip to another. You should do this quickly as he can counter your brush techniques. Then kill the figures that appear. When you're fighting the little foxes, it has helped me a lot to use the mist technique. You get in more damage that way.It's helped me but be sure to use any of your brush techniques fast because the fox can draw, too.
Just jump when "fox headed wench" charges. use thunder when it draws the sword and if your item mad like me just use the best exorcism slip on the tail spirits -Answer by:coolCarbonKid

It took me just two tries but this is pretty simple, the more vines you hook on the faster it gets right? So with a little luck, just press and hold R1, then it you don't see a flower yet, release and immediately press and hold again, then draw your vines.
If you see the blossom, quickly press the R1 button & drag your brush from the flower to the hooks on the logs. Repeat until all are connected. -Answer by:NC7

When you are in the Ark of Yamato the is a spirit that sells items you will need alot of demon fangs to buy it after you finish the game the water tblet tranfers over
Or: Go to the emperor after you have defeated Ninetails. He will trade you the water tablet for 100 fangs.
You can get it either on the Ark or from the emperor after you beat Ninetails, but I would recommend getting it from the emperor because it doesn't transfer over when you beat the game (because if it did you would be able to get to Agata Forest too soon in the new game). If you get it on the Ark, you'll barely have a chance to use it (only against Orochi's water head, if it even gets a chance to flood the area before you kill it).
After you beat ninetails goto the emporor and he sells you it for 100 demon fangs, or get it on the ark of yamato but on the ark its pointless because it dosent transfer over. I thought that was dodgy -Answer by:coolCarbonKid

I got a piece of A4 paper, held it up/taped it to the screen and wrote numbers 1 - 5 on the points as they appeared after you tackle him, then just keep the paper on the screen and viola, the exact points of his weaknesses are there for you to mark with your brush, however they change each time so this may take a while if you don't get it at first. and if you fail he calls rocks to fall on you so leg it!

I was having the same problem. It had been so long, I had forgotten how to use the catwalk. You have to jump on to the wall, then press jump again when you're touching it to cling to it. Repeat to make your way across. Always try to jump towards the wall.
Do you see the big trees which are black?You'll find them around the commoner's & the aristocratic quarter.Just bloom them.You can talk to Mr.Flower & he'll tell you how many more are left.But I haven't found them all yet.

First you go to the room with the gears, do your brush technique(=) the gears should slow down and you should have a second to travel over them,then make it to the blizzard machine and figure out how to shut it off, then you will get the blizzard technique to freeze the spiders
First, find a peak with a machine with three gears on it. Find a website that shows walkthroughs and follow the instructions on how to solve the gear puzzle and get the blizzard technique. freeze the spiders with it and hop on!

I had trouble with this one to. You've seen Nameless Man, right? He lives in the house just outside of Hana Valley. Across the river from his house, is a Demon gate. Once you go thru this gate, and defeat the monsters withing it, Nameless Man's kiln will appear. Then, wait till sunrise of the next day. (in the game, not real life). Nameless Man will be choping wood near his kiln. Talk to him, and he will give you a vase. Hit triangle to grab the vase, and take it to a guardian statue. And there you have it. You've offered to a statue, earning you praise orbs. Every game day, Nameless Man will have another statue. You can make days go faster with the sunrise and cresent brush powers. Somthing might happen if you offer a vase to all of the statues, but I've never done it, so I'm not sure.

This took me awile too... but after u beat Oni island go to where the nameless man is in shinsu fields talk to him. Take the pot he gives you to a shrine. Then make it night then day right away. then go talk to him he'll will give you another pot repeat all these steps until he doesn't make any pots. To get the 5th pot u have to beat Wawku Shrine..

Here are cannons spinning around waiting to be lit, make sure they are aimed toward the cannons across the ravine. Light the cannon to where it will fire and hit the cannons on the other side of the ravine. Make sure to hit all the monster cannons since you cannot destroy them any other way. Then use brush technique to freeze the snowflakes that are flowing through the ravine and make your way across.

By using mist you can slow down time and strike the cannonballs back at them with Slash and dstroy them but be careful not to get hit are fall off the ice blocks.

To go to Oni Island you have to draw a whirlpool in the sky. But first you have to learn the CATWALK. OK so when you first enter Ryoshima Coast There should be a big wall to your left. if you cant find it look on your map and go to all of the paw prints. once you get there this guy will talk to you and say that he wishes there were some shooting stars. make it night time and draw dots in the sky. They will turn into shooting stars, then he will wish for the whirlpool galexy to reappear in the sky. right after he says that it should appear. once it does go over to it and look at the sky again. then draw a whirlpool in the sky to make it spin around. do this untill Issun tells you that you should stop. Then go find Orca and ( the whirlpool should have appeared in the sea) go to it. you will be sucked into it. the rest is self explanatory.
I have some answers for your Hayazo/clock guy thing.
The clock guy I think Zen? I might say "I think" a lot because I've finished the game like 3 months ago. Anyway, Zen needs something like "gears" and you need to go to Shinishu Field and race the mail guy that is always running around. Beat him I think 3 times and he should give you the gears. If you want to go to Oni Island, go to the WATCHERS CAPE! there you will find Otohime waiting for you, she will help to get to Oni Island by transforming herself into a dragon thats long enough to cross to the Island. :D

To do this you must know cherry bomb (from the pyro-man) and water lily (one of the triumvrate). Go up the slope above the dojo and past moon cave, your see a dock over some water and a cave. Use water lily to jump through there and be carefull not to drown! Then you'll see a ledge at the end, put a water lily right next to it and wall jump up, then use cherry bomb to open up the crack there, and Wala! There you go.

Use the canine tracker you get from Princess Fuse at the temple/shrine in Kusa Village. It automatically tells you when you are close to a dog.

There is an order to the dogs, and you'll always have to use a brush technique somehow... If you're stuck, and don't know what to do, look around... and think of your Brush.
