Hi there
To kill the giant spider you need to first wait until the spider gets on his back legs and shoot him in the red glowing belly with a rock. Then three little spiders will drop down and must kill these. Repeat this three times and then finish him off by shooting the big spider in the belly one last time.
Hope this helps. Took us a few goes but eventually got it.
