There is another way let one of your characters absorb the lighting than switch and attack with the other.

When you get to the end you go in the halls on youer right, go up the platforms and pull down all the swiches

You'll have to do it in Free Play. Once you've pulled all the levers in the three hallways, the platform arm will move to the side, opening the door. Switch to Jar Jar, jump up onto the platform, and continue jumping across the ledges to the left. You'll eventually be right next to the Force Field, and you can just jump over the top. Switch to an Astromech droid (R2-D2, etc.) and use the panel to deactivate the force field.
