You have to have played the level in "tour" mode nto play them in "practice" mode. -Answer by:pieman161

When you start the level, don't fall into the first halfpipe either ride on the hill on the left to the other halfpipes over there or ride into the bushes and trees on the right to get to a halfpipe that makes you jump really high.

You can also do a handplant using O, and tip yourself over to the adjacent halfpipe.
