When I do edit and I delete all the people and when I make a new family and move them in, after there done taking a shower, getting home from work, waking up, or getting out of the rock pool they switch back! Pick one of the empty lots and build a house.
Then it's just as the others already said. If you want to keep other sims out, don't answer the door and don't become friends with the visitors.

I KNOW HOW TO DO IT! Ok now I now this is going to sound like crap, and not make any sence but what you do is you talk to everybody that answers your door. Everyone you greet become best friends with them. I know this isn't a cheat but it worked! Oh, also you have to fall in love with four people and marry 2 people. Also you have to makeout with five people and woohoo 25 times. Also play with all four people in the margarita love tub 30 times! Now I know this seems like a lot, but in the end you will be very happy.

You get the llama in the fridge, you might ave 2 get the last fridge on the list (appliences) coz it does better food! LOL!

Ok common mistake the gnome wont come up till you put a cheat in first a gnome wit no cheats in it has no use to come up so cheats first gnome second!

Don't pause it. I know everyone says to pause it, but don't. You'll here the femaile sim sigh. Then stop and look around.. It doesn't always appear by the mailbox.

Dont listen to what they say, press menu
type in L1 R1 up X R2
Get off menu and go over to gnome. It should be in the front somewhere. It is white -ish and has a pink diamond on top.
Type in your cheat code before you click on it, and then you click on it. The cheat should appear.
Youll know if the cheats work if you hear a female sim sigh. Youll hear it as soon as you type in the codes (if it worked.) So listen carefully and good luck!

Here your graphics are just mixed up. See, when I edit my family and delete them, when I move in the new family and when I make them take a shower, get out of bed, or anything that makes them change their clothes they cheange back! See if I had a guy in my old family and when I make my new family it's a girl, MY GIRL'S FACE has a mustache and she is wearing guy clothes! R u talkingabout sims 2 pets ? cuz if u r then any fencing works but i used the expensive one. i think u gotta build it straight and equal and what i done was put a bowl of dog food at the end with ther bones then ther was a hall that lead straigh into my back garden. oh and btw u gotta put a pen at the syart so the can start at the same time . and heres another tip make as many ppl as u can and then use the ones u just made randomly a maid or slave lol thats wut i did. and make them buy stuff like i dunno a easel cuz when u use that u sell stuff then u make simillions.

That's why I don't take Science,I take Fashion or Law. You can ride in a limo in those careers.
You can on the politics and the business you get a helicopter on either stage 9/10
Only business and polotics and fashion. I dont 't if you can ride in helicopter for politics though.
My brother is on level 10 on the buisness career and he can only ride in a limo not a helecopter.

Ok, first, do not pause the game. Just hit L1,R1, Up, x, R2. When you get it right you will here the female sim sigh. Stop and look around. It is not always by the mailbox or whatnot.
