How do u get past the electrical opening on the second level?

A1:

You need to enter the Norweigan(sweed) base. Past the ice room with the huge Ice block in the center, there will be a room, enter and order your engineer, (provided that you didnt kill him or he doesnt trust you) to fix the Junction box. this will shut down the electric fence. now all you have to do is emiminate Thing-Spiders and get to it.
