I cant seem to figure out how old this post is but if you read this and still havent figured it out, just take Bjarni (I think he's called?) and the princes too the top north of the map then go all the way too the west I dunno if it's something they planned while making it or a bug but sience neither of them needs food they can travel over the mountains without starving, your soldiers however will die if you take that path with them, I used the soldiers too draw enemy attention away from the mountains by attacking their camp.
