You can use the clone cheat in order to get many rare candies. Though theres always the possibility of "corrupting" game data. Anyways, give the pokemon you want to clone a rare candy, save in front of a PC, deposit the pokemon you want cloned into an EMPTY box, and finally switch boxes. When it says "SAVING..... Do not" Turn off the power and then turn it back on to have a cloned pokemon. Enjoy your rare candies.

You can't get a flute. You need a EXPN card and there's a flute song that plays in a station. You can get the EXPN card somewhere in vermilion city.
The expn card is not found in vermillion city. it's in the radio tower of lavender town. you can get it from a man with a black suit after you help out with the problem in the power plant.

For jhoto, there's a quiz running at the front desk of radio tower, answer all the questions correctly and they'll give you a radio card.

Whats an expn card?
You get it in lavender town
First go to the power plant talk to the manager get the missing part of the machine after beating the team rocket in the cerulean gym after that go to the bridge above cerulean city and you will find the team rocket that you had defeated then he will tell you where's the missing part then give it to the manager in the power plant then go to the radio station in kanto talk to all the people in the radio station ground floor
You have to talk to the power plant manager guy and heel say something the you go to the cerulean gym and swim in the little square of water. move up to the top right corner and look left then press a. you will find a machinery part. then go back to the power plant and talk to the manager. he'll giveyou zap cannon. the go to the radio tower and talk to the dude facing the wall and you'll recieve the expn card.

Route 34! or perhaps that's route 36... anyway, it's near the daycare. every ditto there will be at lv.10 [and genderless], so you'll need some level balls. be warned... ditto can quickly escape an ultra ball even if it's par or slp so you should stock up on both ultra balls and level balls! most importantly, it's much easier to find a ditto at night (when it's dark, duhhhhhhhhhhh), which is at 6:00 pm during dst and at 5:00 pm when it's not dst. if you choose to go out in daylight hours, you'll also find annoying pidgeys and rattatas, and i think there are some bellsprouts there too. either way, a ditto will be a rare encounter, so never make it transform into a pokemon that knows roar!

Whirlwind Islands-you need the Silver Feather for it to work however.(in Silver, it's a Lv. 40, and in Gold it's a Lv. 70)
After you have a pokemon that knows surf and whirlpool and have the silver wing make your way to the top right whirlpool island and go in and in the pool of water at the end of the cave (the inside) you should see Lugia (level 40 or 45 ) over the water go up to him and hit the talk button and a battle will start hopefully you have a great ball (or higher) on you because it takes a while to catch him with a poke ball and catch him like you would any other pokemon -Answer by:Koda Man 09

You give it to a pokemon and then clone the pokemon by depositing the pokemon wit tha ball and saving the game but turn it off when it says dont turn of powe....
All you do is give it to a pokemon a diplacate it
Go to a POKeMON Center and save at the computer. Give the Master Ball to one of your POKeMON, but NEVER EVER EVER use a Legendary as it will erase your game! Deposit your POKeMON and then change boxes-but before it finishes saying, "SAVING... DON'T TURN OFF THE POWER", turn it off. Now turn it back on and continue. That POKeMON will both be in your PC AND your party-same with the Master Ball! Do this a few more times but not too many because it can mess up your game if you do it too many times in a row.
