You have to put it to sleeep to catch it
It will take about 12 ultra balls with just a sliver of health left to catch Zapdos.
You can't on pokemon blue or red
but on yellow take a syther or any pokemon that knows the move false swipe use it on zapdos the effect of false swipe is that it wpont kill any pokemon so it leaves them on 1 hp then paralysis it and bigo use bout 10 - 20 ultra balls and it will catch it also save before you battle it that way if you run out of pokeballs you can switch off then on and yoyu'll still see zapdos (same 4 articuno moltres and mew2) -Answer by:danny boi

A2's way might be correct, but he sure wasted money. I caught Zapdos with a POKEBALL. I found a video on youtube that walked me through it because I tried a million times and I always "missed the pokemon"

It is the easiest to have ultra balls or great balls. have at least one pkmn with/freezing attack. for backup, if the frz pkmn faints, have a pkmn w/sleep attack. make sure the zapdos is very low when you sleep it.
I didn't need ultra balls ! just put it to sleep and use ordinary poke o balls ! the more you hurt it the easier it is to catch. Do the same with all hard to catch pokemon and save your masterball for Mewtwo !
I got it using haunter, and only 2 ultra balls

First you go to cinnabar island and you see a burned mansion go in there then before you go in you need like a Pokemon that can teleport and stuff cos you can't get out then look absolutely every where possible but make sure that in your item you only have stuff you need

Beacuse the pokemon will only learn it when it evolves at its actual level not a level higher

Ok, it's quite simple. Go the the safari zone and enter. you'll need surf to save you time. in the first zone use surf to get into the water, when in the water go directly left till you get on land. search around the big grassy area. it will eventually show up.

Go in the cinnabar mansion. go up the first steps. don't go up the steps right next to you. instead, go to the right, go up, and go left in the opening. go up the stairs. go to the switch and press a. press switch. then go to the opening on the below/right of you. you should see a scientist. you don't need ot battle him. instead, go to the opening below you. then go to the nxt stairs. go up/right. go in the small room and hit the switch. go out nxt to the stairs (not up them). go up in the opening. still go up until you find a room. hit the switch. go back down/right. go down in the next opening. and you will find an item ball. the SECRET KEY!

In Pokemon Yellow the drink that the saffron guards need are on the top floor of the celadon department store. Buy any of the drinks from the vending machine (the one that looks like.... a vending machine) and then talk to one of the saffron guards who will share his drink with the other guards.
Give the guard any drink available
Get water at the top floor of celdon city mart and give it to the gards
Go to the celedon mart to the top floor and get water and give it to the gaurd and he will allow you to go to saffron city
Gove a fresh water to the guards
Buy any drink from roof of Celadon's big store, and give it to girl who sits at Saffrons gate.
Go to the top floor (the roof) of the mart in Celadon city, then go to a vending machine and get some fresh water. take this and give this to the gatekeeper between lavendar and saffron, who will let you through

U have 2 go 2 the trade center and trade the pokemon you want cloned 4 1 you dont care about thn whn it says "waiting" after the pokemon have been traded get rdy 2 turn off the gameboy getting the bad pokemon right b4 the trade completed appears (after the waiting goes away) turn off the gameboy getting the bad pokemon, thn once trade complete shows up on the other 1 turn it off. whn you turn them bak on they shud both have the good pokemon, the bad 1 will have dissappeared.

Yes it is, it is possible to catch 153 pokemon (missingo and one other I cant remember who it was) don't catch missingo it ruins your game.
