Dont make them sleep, instead, make both of the characters relax, then press the whoo hoo option, and it should work
The sims cant get pregant. that only works in The Sims. not The Sims 2
It does work in sims 2 all you have to do is got to the bed you dont evan have to be married and out realx on both the sims and the press try for baby it may take a couple of time but in a few sim days bam she's pregnaut I hope that helps

when you set the alarm and the sim crouches down and whispers something into the chickens ear and the chicken says okie dokie it seems as if you were setting the alarm.
i know by schema that chickens wake people up in the morning on farms so if you haven't already found a answer to this it seems that the sim has set a time for the chicken to wake him/her up in the morning.

Trying for a baby in bed gives a 50% success rate, trying in the hot-tub and clothing booths give significantly less chances of your sim falling pregnant - but it still entirely possible.
With every pregnancy there is around a 10% chance of having twins, so although they're very rare they are still entirely possible and unpredictable without cheats. As in real life, the odd of conceiving twins is increased if twins run in the family (i.e. if either of the parents, grandparents or great-grandparents etc is a twin)...
Assuming that your sim is fertile and in the right biological age range (teens and elderly ladies cannot fall pregnant), just keep having your sims try for a baby and it should eventually happen. Like in real life, sometimes it happens right away, sometimes it can take years...
