I have no idea if certain brands of items get you more money in tours but I'm still playing custom to get experience points first and the more expensive items seem to improve my skills except for power even though it doesn't show it on attributes.

Win some tournaments or team competitions. You gain attributes for where you place.

Best way is to gain points before you enter tour. Play stroke games, the only bad part is you only get 900 points when you win a entire 18 hole game, this only slowly inches your levels up. It takes about 100 stroke games with a created player to get all attributes to a acceptable level.

Go to the custom menu in Game modes choose the Skins match and your opponent and win the money =)
Go to game modes and make a custom game. The quickest is a skills competition. Pick who you want to play against and make sure you select "human" control so that you control both golfers. When it is the pros turn just tank it and you will win each competition and a decent amount of money for about 10 minutes work.
Play matches with large sidebets or skins
Go to the custom under PGA tour and make a game with another golfer you created. Make it the computer player and put all the side bets up to Max.

Play some custom games "skins" mode in particular.
Create a new character make him really basic (your not actually goin to use him) go into custom match, skins. then set each skin for a sum (devide the amount of cash the new player has by 18) play the new character with yours and win every hole.
Click on the subtitle game modes, then click on custom then it will come up with a screen there will be titles such as game type, opponents and holes ect. then you will see 3 titles down the left side of the screen. Click on the bottom one which is side games put all of the money up to the highest it will go all you type in the boxes is the number, you don't need the signs or the comma.next click on the next button and it will come up with a screen that you can add the golfers if you are playing a game like alternate shot pick Tiger Woods as you partner and pick who you want you will get lots of cash fast. On my last round which was alternate shot i got $496,000 in 18 holes you will get lots of cash fast

You have to do the pga tour mode. when u are a hacker u don't get much but after you win the first tournement and become a amateur golfer you will get three grand a tournement for yourself

Go to course download.com u have to register, first get the cls file that will put all the different files like textures, building and so on, use the cls to do all this with u can download hundreds of couses

Its on the back of the official manual which comes with the game.I have it but need to be able to cancel bad shots ((I make so many when playing good and it really piggs me off that I can just cancel the bad one out. I think EA havent thought this out)so if anyone can help me, I will give them my codes.

If you play the 2 clicks you never miss a power shot plus your ball traveles a lot longer than some one that plays v/h swings

That one gave me a hard time... you have to aim to the right, crossing the whole lake, you'll see a fairway. Aim to the green on your second shot, from the other side, without having to deal with those trees.

This is simple. Download the course and all libraries for each course from coursedownloads dot com. No need to register, just find the year game you have under course downloads on the left panel, browse the many courses and click the highlighted name, select download course to right above picture, click on one of the files under Select Location to get the course and save it, then individually download and save each library to the right under Library Name, you need all of them, make sur eto save them all in one folder in my documents or something, go back to same site and click utilities tab at top center, click on what year game you have, then click course installation tools, and download CLsetup. Just install and run that program,in CLsetup browse to that file with all the files for the one course, select them and hit OK every time it tells you, once finished the dialog boxes will quit popping up, close. All those files are now in your game directory in libraries folder(default is Start-My Computer- C/Program Files/EA Sports/TigerWoods/Libraries, go there and create another folder with the course name and put all those folders you just extracted there in that one folder so it's nice and neat, when you install more courses instead of many files everywhere each course will have it's own floder. Done. I have 07 Woods and courses show up in all modes. Note:If the course and libraries you have is just one big file all you do is select that one file using CLsetup and it will go into the courses folder instead of libraries I'm guessing, CLsetup automatically puts it where it's suppose to go, no need to do anything after except play.

I need to add a correction to my above answer. You do need to register with coursedownloads in order to download, what I meant to say was do not use the site's "zip" option to download, it limits your ability to download more than 15MB, and most courses with the needed libraries are almost always larger than that. Just left click on the actual course download which I stated is to the left of the libraries after you click "download course" tab once you find the course you want, sometimes there are two course download links, just choose one, where as there are usually multiple library links all of which need to be downloaded. Then do the same for each library download which are to the right of the course download. This way you avoid any download size restrictions. Any detailed info can be found by searching for "how to install courses" on the site's search box or in the forums.
