I am not sure what you mean...when your sims changes (vampire, wolf etc.) they usually have different behavioral patterns and can do different things (for example: a vampire sim can not only walk or run somewhere, but they can stalk or fly. They can also scary someone by hissing or going 'BLEUGH'. They can also bite any sim who has a relationship over 70 with your vampire sim.). If by 'weird' you mean they can do different things than other sims, then yes, you are right. =D Hope I was helpful to you!

Werewolves are normal sims by day, and then at night (I think it's 8pm) they change into a werewolf and thier needs change (like they'll be more hungry). Then in the morning they change back. Vampires can fly, stalk, scare, and bite people. Thier moods never drop (unless they're in the sun) and they MUST be nocturnal or else they'll die. If they stay in the sun thier needs drop until they die. You have to buy them a coffin to sleep in.
Aliens are the same as normal sims (as far as I know, I could be wrong). You have to have a male look into the expensive telescope until he gets abducted and there's a chance he'll be pregnant. That's the only way I know to get an alien sim (except for the family in StrangeTown). Plantsims are different because they have only 3 moods: Love, Sunlight, and Water. So they never need to sleep or eat or anything like that. They can interact with normal sims normally (including having normal babies), but they can also spawn a plantbaby (which is spawned as a toddler and grows from toddler to plantsim adult. No teens or children.) or they can spawn "spores of happiness" which elevate other sims on the lot's moods. You get them byy having a garden and spraying for bugs too much. The best way to do it is in the summer, not putting up the ladybug house, and having the same sim spray the bugs every time. Eventually they'll change. Zombies are just miserable. You have to have known the person, have the reward object (the phone on the pedestal from the paranormal career track) and pay Death about half or less for a good Zombie. Thier hygiene drops faster, and they walk around dragging one leg. That's about all I've noticed. Apart from appearence, they're pretty much normal. Hope this helped..

To get a alien u can look thru da teloscope(expensive 1) or u can click ctrl-shift-,c all at the same time and type boolproptestingcheatsenabled true then hold shift and clickon a sim(female) click spawn* tombstone of l&d. a tombstone will appear. click on the stone. click next and click make me alien pregnant and she will have an alien baby

O get an alien family, go to the "Create A family" (make sure you don't have the blinkie think on the "last name" type box). You do shift+Crtl+C then you type in boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true (exactly like I typed it) you hit ENTER then you hit shift+N. It will give you a message to the right of you screen. Go to the first part and on skin color click on the * and you will see white and green skin. Click on the green skin (alien skin). Then when you go to pick out the eyes, pick the black ones and you have an alien, go through the rest as normal. If it goes out of debug mode just hit shift+N. You need a hacked object. Simslice.com is my favourite site and has tons of amazing objects. Modthesims2.com is also good, but I know that simslice has a pregnancy object. It allows you to choose who to get pregnant with (regardless of relationship scores) and to induce labour so you have the baby in hours instead of 3 days. You can also age your infant to a toddler.

Nocturnal means it only comes out at night, which your sim (vampire) already should be, when your sims is a vampire you have to buy them a coffin (found in bedding under seating in the "buy" menu) put it in a DARK room then during the day make your sim stay in the coffin then wake them up at night. it's easy
You can get some collars and fur colors for the create a pet in the create a family button thing. But you can also get other things from random sims 2 websites called downloads that you can put into the downloads folder in your sims 2 folder in EA games in my documents.

The only way (that i know of) for a sim to get pregnant without Woohooing is with the Tombstone of Life and Death, which you need to do the boolprop testingcheats cheat*
*this never works for ME, but it seems to work for everyone else on the internet

The hold shift and click your sim and click 'Spawn' find the tombstone of life and death ( L and D ) if your click on that you will be able to get pregnant, order a baby, be alien pregnant and also when pregnant speed up pregnancy it should take about 60 sim minuets. Select make pregnant with..... and choose someone. Then click on the tombstone again and choose speed up my pregnancy.

The one way I know to get pregnant happens to men. uy the most expensive of the two telescopes you can buy. Then, make sure your (male) sim stargazes a while each night. They will eventually be abducted and come back a few days later. Wait a few days, and they will become pregnant.

With the Tombstone of Life and Death approach, you need to make sure that neither sim (both "Father" and "Mother") is already pregnant. Otherwise, you'll be sitting there for quite a while. :P
