Battlefield 2142

With all vehicles (air and ground) you can use F1-F2(F3, F4 etc etc..) to change where you are sitting in the vehicle. This is particularly useful when using the ATV because you can hit F3 to switch to the eject seat and right click to eject. or with any other vehicle to access the secondary or tertiary seat.

By pressing f2 or f3 depends on how many slots do the vehicle has, but! you can't change seat if the vehicle is full in online mode BUT! you can still do it in offline mode

If I read it right it's the APC you're talking about, go to position 3-6/6 and right click and you will pod.

Actually get into the APC and choose a different seat!
F1 is the driving position, and F2 is the launchers position seats F3 -F6 all have pods - just get in one and right click! its that simple!

Make an account online(u gotto have the internet) then you disconect the computer from the internet then log in...it should say unalbe 2 log in retry or play offline. -Answer by:cyborgecommando
Go 2 battlefield 2142.com and enter username and password
After you have created an account, exit the game and disconnect from your connection. However, offline soldier will not have the unlocks your online soldier did, if you unlocked anything.

You must unlock grenades and in singleplayer you have nothing but the starting kit unless you have played online, therefor you can't, however 7 is the default key should they be unlocked

Probably what your problem is. is there is a punkbuster update for the game you will just have to download it.

I also had problems with punkbuster on Battlefield 2142, I wrote EA tech support, and surfed the internet and finally was able to fix the problem. Here is what I did. First, go to this site, www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe, run the application and then select install/reinstall punkbuster, and continue through the setup. After it is finished, go to "run", type "services.msc" there is an alphabetical list, so look under P until you find two listings, PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB, (repeat the following procedure for both A and B). Double click on PnkBstrA and when the next window comes up, make sure that Startup Type is set to Automatc, and that Service Status is Started. If it is not Started, click the Start button. Make sure that both PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB are set to Automatic, and are Started. Now, bring up the internet and type in this address www.websec.evenbalance.com/downloads/windows/pbsetup.exe
Run the application. It will check for updates, agree to the following windows, and then you will be brought to a blank window that has several options at the top. Select Add game, from the list select Battlefield 2142, and after it has been added to the list, click Check For Updates, it will check for Punkbuster Updates for Battlefield 2142. After this, go to www.punkbuster.com/index.php and select Battlefield 2142 from the list on the right. Click on Download. On the next page, right click on For Players and click Save Target As, from the list that it brings up, double click on Computer, and then double click on the C drive. Then select Program Files. Next, double click Electronic Arts and then double click on Battlefield 2142. From there double click on "pb" and then click "save". Next, follow the same procedure for PB Client v1.745 for Win32, and the one right below it, PB ClientA v1375 for Win32, only this time, instead of saving them under "pb" save them under "htm" in the "pb" folder and save both of them there. Also, select your shortcut for the game, and from the list select properties, and then select the compatibility tab and under that tab, check the box next to run this program as an administrator. Make sure that any firewall or virus protection is turned off. This fixed the problem for me, but I don't know if it will work for you, I hope it does. Every time before you play the game, make sure that PnkBstrA and B are both set to Automatic and are started. If PnkBstrB is not there, go to www. evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe again, and select install/reinstall. Statpaddling
When you get a medal or ribbon or Badge it gives you more points!
Yes, from statpadding. I have seen some people be all medics, get in a car, and drive out of the mission area until they are almost dead at which point they drive back in and heal each other. I'm not sure about 100 points a minute, but this will get 100 to 200 points a round.
I have been playing assault, kill 30 enemies in round and you will get Assault service badge, you can earn 1000 points, I have earned 1115 points in round!!!
When you spawn in the titan, you will see a number of computer like things when you turn around. Just like half life or counter strike, to use something by pressing ''E''. So go up to one and press E.
Go to the helecopters on the deck. Now turn around. You should see tall thin consoles. Tohse control the guns. There are glowing pictures at the top. Those tell you where the guns are that the consoles control.
When your in the titan walk up to one of the consoles and press E next to one of the consoles and you will be put in control of one of the titan gun. Then use your standed weapon controls to shoot
Spawn on the main floor of the titan (a gunship and air transport spawn there as well) turn around to onto the elevated platform and press your use key e (defauly) on one of the screens on the elevated platform, once in the seat use mouse1 to fire the gun

Ok first off its statpadding, u need another person to help you. be on opposite teams. kill someone from the other team, have ure friend on his team revive him, kill him, have ure friend revive him, do this as much as you want.
You have to earn up grades...earn exp points along the way u will get unlocks

Some servers are set to not allow upgrades...
Does that include singleplay for all weapons?
If you mean you have gained ranks go into bfhq then unlocks....click the kit tab you wanna upgrade then chose your unlock -Answer by:cyborgecommando
Either hit costimeze in gameplay to select picked upgrades or go to bfhq and selecy unlocks then pick the tab you want and pick your upgrade
Press the number keys (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 if I'm not mistaken you don't use more than 7).
8 = squad leader item :P
Just use your scrolling ball inside the mouse to see what numbers are which weapons

The statpadding tool is called a defibulator and you unlock it from the assault kit. And you use by running up to a dead player on you team and pushing the fire button. If done correctly the player should come alive in the prone posistion and it should say something like revive score or revive point. Hope this helped.

He game lags behind sometimes, wait a bit and it will update itself.
It is cumulative. You need 250 to get to the next level on top of what you already have. The first level only took 40 points. But the next level you needed 80 on top of that for 120 in total. If you need 250, you are few above that, so you need to add 250 to whatever it took to get your previous rank.
Sometimes the game lags, just simply reset the game

You cant you have to be online to gain rank. otherwise everyone would just play singleplayer and pad up their stats alot faster.

Well you can edit the Profile CON file in your profiles folder, usually in the 0001 Folder. Look under Cheats posted for this game for more how to. Also just a suggestion, if you do alter your rank, make it believable. Not some high supreme comander -Answer by:venomhatch
If you have windows xp or vista, search "battlefield 2142 profiles 0001, then click on 0001, click profiles and open it with notepad. find the lines saying
"LocalProfile.setRank "rank here" put 43 where it says rank here
"LocalProfile.setCareerPoints "career points here" put 54100 where it says career points here

This doesnt work, it doesnt actually save over the exsisting file. you hit save and then when you open it back up, nothing was changed, even if you do save as and replace it. think about it, when you select the character it says contacting ea master server or w/e. so its uploading the info from there.
Try moving the file on to desktop go to propertise and unclick read only, then change it blah blah blah. then go to propertise after done and click read only so it is read only the put it back where it came from. XD
