: Actually, if it is a stray, your "Domestic" dog can not have a puppy with it. It has to be with another dog that you made with your family in the beginning, or it has to be with another dog that you adopted.

: You have to make sure that animal is the opposite gender of your pet then if the "try for offspring" don't come up then its probably the same gender as your pet it has nothing to do with relationships of pets to you or pets to pets

: Make sure they are opposite genders, you have a dog house, and there is room in your family for another puppy (max: 6 members)

: Ok, first make sure that your dog is in a decent mood. Then make sure you have a dog house that has enough space around it for a puppy basket to land. Also, make sure that you greeted the Sim that the visiting dog belongs to...that way it is welcomed into your home along with it's owner. Judging by the dog's name, make sure it is the opposite gender of your own dog. Next, click on your own dog and select "try for offspring with..." and you should be able to select the dog you want to mate with. If your dogs understands and accepts the request, it will go over to the other dog and talk it into the idea by playing with it. If the other dog likes the idea, which they normally do if your dog accepts, they will walk over to the dog house. A curtain will appear, music will play, and hearts will rise from the dog house. If the breeding was successful, a puppy basket should appear on a hot air balloon and land near the dog house and a message will appear telling you the gender of the puppy. Sometimes the breeding session can be unsuccessful though. You will know this because you will not have seen a pet basket or hot air balloon a few minutes from the time the dogs mated. If this did occur, just make them mate again and it should work. Hope this helps.

: I've tried this before. A few times I could do a pup but the dog on the street would leave right before I had a chance to press "Try for offspring!" Ha!Ha!:D Ok, now to be serious. First, you should see if your dog likes the other dog.(Go to your dog's profile)Then you should see the other dog's gender.(Look at the name. That usually works for me)Then check if U have a dog house.
