You need to come out of the safe house and into free roam mode. when you do this and go into world map mode you will see it is yellow and then you can select it.
You can't jump from your garage to carlots you have to be in free roam...
just leave your garage go to free roam then open your map up and you should be able to Jump to a carlot

You need to get certain reward cards to unlock thoughs, I have everything beat in Carbon from career mode to challenge series to reward cards. The only car I havent ulocked is the police interceptor, one of my friends said that when you ulock the plice interceptor all it does is it make the Palmont Heat 1 police car faster, but if you do have the required reward cards then I think you games messed up or somethin.
I have the same problem to unlock those races...but for unlock these cars u got to complete the rewrds cards , they say what do they unlock after you dot it...
You just need to get all the cards in the sections to get the cars

No once you win against daruis you can't drive the audi R8 in career mode along with the BMW (Remember it got totaled in the game?)

I dont think so, I had the same question as you did so I went up to one of my friends who beat the whole game, and he told me that in order to get the BMW M3 GTR in your career garage, you have to beat all the races in career mode, beat Darious, Beat all the challenges in the series, and collect all the reward cards, I now have have career mode completely beat, beat the whole challenge series, and just collected all the reward cards in the game, and I dont have the BMW or the Audi Le Mans in my garage. I checked out the car lot to see if I had to buy them and they still werent there. Sorry Ill see what else I can do.
U cant get the bmw gtr in yur garage because it gets taken away and delelted off the game at the start when cross rekd it at the start if u want it in yur garage try playing nfs mw black edition

You can beat darius with any third level car. the nissan 350z is great in the turns because you donth need to stopp so much in hard turns. Set your gallardo on top acceleration in when you customize the car + set your suspension to oversteer, then you donth need to worry to brake so much in each turn. The best idee ist to sell your car and drive the car I mentioned before. Its easy to get past him with it. and you need only ten seconds to be in front of him in stage 1 and you will win ;)
Get the Lancer and full mod it.I think that the turn is a the halfway way to the end of the canyon.It is the very long turn and if you have Lancer you can slowly get to him if you are lucky.When you pass him just DRIVE!!Turn the mirror on and watch the mirror beacuse he can get by you.That is almost it.Good luck!
Hi I hav beaten him and I had the lambo murcilago and all I did is when I was right near the corners I tapped the brake and the hand brake at the same time while I was turning and I just drifted around them it real help

I beat him with the Viper. Just accelerate past him. Go side by side with him around the corner, force him to get behind you (it's tricky), and then go around the next corner with him right behind you. Floor it and you win. Go Muscle!
If you finish the game then start a new profile that is EXACTLY the same as the one b4, you end up with the same cars unlocked (NOT IN YOUR GARAGE!!!) and all the reward cards that you unlocked still intact! So you can now do it all over again but not waste money on shitty cars! (If you dont believe me and scared of losing your memory, stick a copy on another card and try! IT WORKS

Yes, go to your safe house. Go to car slect even if you dont have more than one. Then once you are at the car you drive most and hit L1 then a screen will appear and it will ask you if you want to spend $1000 to lower the heat and will lower an entire level. Or give your car a new look and it will lower by a little.
$10,000 wish I could get more with the cheat, only works once though, but if you have 'most wanted' saved on ur memory card then you get $10,000 more when you start career mode.
I used a modded murcielago. beat him in the first corner. accelerate straight into the first corner, then as u turn, side swipe darius but its tough to get it right without spinning out. once u get it, ull get to 10 seconds as you pull through corner 2.
If you have a tier 1 or 2 car you cannot put tier 3 parts you need a tier 3 car

The best car is the alfa romeo cuz if u use that car first u get to beat Wolf and his crew TfK which I think are the hardest crew cuz they are exotic racing crew.
There is no best car...they all have their perks and cons. The Camero has nice acceleration and decent top speed but poor handling (to the unseasoned player)...the RX-8 has nice handling and maintains most of its speed going around turns, but has only moderate acceleration and poor top speed...and the Alfa has good tops speed and decent acceleration along with decent handling accept the TFK crew is probably the hardest to compete against right off the bat so they all have their pros and cons........if u start with a muscle car, u won't have to buy a new car (if u get angie's pink slip) until Silverton...if u choose RX-8 u will probably have to buy multiple cars to compete against 21st and TFK but then again, these cars are the cheapest in the game.....choosing a car is all about prference....None is really much better than any other overall

To buy a car just get the right amount of $, then go to a car dealership. If you cant find a car dealership ( located on the world map ) then go conquer a city. Then there should be an open car dealership just for you!

I just used the lotus elise with no upgrades or anything and I beat him easily. just crash him into a wall and he will never recover in the city. in the canyon you have to be really aggresive and pass him and keep checking behind you and keep right in front of him so he can't get around you
Unfortunately, you have the PS2 Collector's Edition of the game. to unlock these cars you have to have the PC Collector's Edition of the game. I have the exact same problem and know excactly how you feel; the Pagani Zonda would have been a great car to drive!
Kk mate as for the plymouth and the pagani theyre only available in the ea downloader patch version and the toyota mr2 is only available in the challenge series like the lotus europa. and I dunno bout the dodge

The best thing to do is have more money than it cost to buy a car like at least $30000 extra or you got a stock car and cant get a new car =), neway if u go roaming(must go roaming) then press start then world map(can only be chosen in free roam) then look to the bottom left of the city and theres a shed type icon just bring the mouse type looking thing over it then press x then jump to carlot =) just so u know were it is well anyway if this isnt were your at just look on the other islands and also i used the camaro ss in the canyons coz its quite easy to go donw the big hillz and also if u know how to keep a drift in line its easy
I started in muscle with the camaro ss. Its handeling isnt that great but thats what upgrades are for. I only had 4 cars in the game to beat it. The camaro...the new charger...the aston martin db7...and the dodge viper

You have to cause a lot of "pay to the district" and then appear the police rav-4 and then appear the police intercepters .....(you cant used in career mode)
I dont think you can customize them, go to quick race, when you are at the car select hit U or D on the d-pad until you get bonus or custom the should be in there.
I used the same car and finished the race really easy. all u need to do is make sure you take all of the shortcuts and save your nos for when you exit corners.
Most of the other people are being cruel. All you have to do is unless he is the last boss you can do then go to a different area and do some races to earn more cash and buy a better car.
NOT TRUE... Lotus not that good AT ALL in comparisson to Alfa... Besides no point keep spending money with new cars that you cant completelly sup. With Alfa I have been winning all races up to being able to get the Merc-McLaren so just learn to drive properly in the game... This is like live: No easy anwsers and just a matter of practice. I beleive that the JaguarXK only unlocks in the collector's edition of this game. If you want to get the collector's edition go to yahoo.com then type in at the search bar that appears and type "buy Need for Speed Carbon Collector's Edition(console name that you have) and prees enter and one of the results will take you to amazon.com and there are new and used ones for sale.
What I ind easier is where your in canyo duels the opponent will slow down while turning into a turn what I do is accelerate on the inide and slide past the oppet trading paint and hardly loosing any speed stay in front and win :D
It's not a boost he gets at the end. his car is simply much more powerful than yours. you can either try and pull away from him earlier or use your money to modify your car and make it faster. I used the lotus elise to do this but I don't understand why you can't drive it. Try going into car select and chose the lotus. It should work.
Well you dont just unlock it you have to have it like for the pc or somethin beacause I have the collectors edition and I cant get it on there and besides if you did it would only be a tier one probably

When you're making performance upgrades and you're at the screen that asks you whether you want Horsepower or Torque, or Grip or Drift, or Duration or Velocity etc. etc., press Square to see what the affects are.
As a general reply though, the RX-8 does not shine for top speed and just about every other car surpasses it in that respect. Though it's handling is godly.
Ok when u upgrade the engine it willl give u 3 things and u can set them. make the last one farthest to the right, it will go towards the top speed but it only moves a little bit so u still have pretty good acceleration
Honestly the rx-8 is quite good. I used it in every single race for the first three zones and only upgraded it when I raced the tfk and 21st street bosses. That way I had loads of cash left over for upgrading other cars in the future. And for God's sake don't sell it 'cos it is absolutely amazing at drift!!!

I think that you have to either beat 20 rival challenges (a car will come by you in free roam and offer you a challenge) or,,, you have to defend your turf by crews who want to take over it (they'll offer you aswell) so really im no quite sure because I have the ps2 version so I hoped I helped
OMG! wat ya do is in career mode the easiest way is to just keep re-racing an event until it comes like SCORPIOS ARE TRYING TO TAKE THIS AREA. Then u click wateva button it is to accept race hen u have to beat them and other ones 20 times.

If u want to unlock curtain cars go to the world map and press circle for the territory control thing. and it lets u choose sections of the city. choose a territory and on th screen that says he ypes of races. it'll saywat the prize is in cyan letters wat th prize is.

Get as many X's as possible. Try to get x10 you will get 10 times how ever many points you have, avoid hitting walls that will kill your drift, go as fast as possible.
