The best car to start with would be a alfa romeo because they are fast and have good hadling and quite easy to get away from he cops with.

The Cheverlet Camaro SS, all do repspect to other peoples tastes this car looks great espeially when you unlock the charged autosculpt hood. Its great because of the acceleration and top speed. The handling isnt too great or too bad, so when you unlock the the Dodge Charger R/T purchase it and then the next best car is the Lambourgini Murcielago. These are the three cars I used to beat the game, though I made the mistake og challengin the last boss race that consists of four races, with my Charger. So make sure you have a great vehicle before challenging the final boss. Using different starting cars unlocks different parts and cars throughout the story so choose wisely.
For those who have the collector version, the nissan 240SX is one of the best car of the game. It's possible to do 75-80% of the races only with this car as soon as you tuned it ^^
Camaro ss its acceleration beats everyfing and the handling isn't too bad either but dnt go for the alfa its just nt fast enuf and if u need handling then go for the rx-8
I'm agreeing with the person who said the chevy camaro SS!!!! even though this car is difficult to drive... you just need to know how to drive it... You will notice in the game there are alot of tight (hair pin) corners... the chevy can take it coz it drifts so much that it clears it in one go... i finished the ame with the chevy and i just love the drifting
I have played the game with many diffren cars and by all means the nissan 240sx is the best. I have completed 70% with no tuning involved. this will give you a good chance to earn the 1,000,000.00 rewards card.
The RX-8 by far. The RX-8 has excellent handling. Thats one of the biggest parts of the game, especially in the canyon races against the bosses. Another is acceleration and speed. At first, the RX-8 doesnt have much acceleration, but when you get past the first stages of performance upgrades, there is no end to performance customizations. You can adjust the car to any extents.
Alfa , i tried camara ss or wot eva it called and it is ok but rubbish in turns you'll get busted easy and rx8 is good looking but not good performNCE WISE ,THE ALFA HAS EVERYTHING
Well if ya can handle it i think the supra is the best! its got speed, and its handling is very good. its accelation will not leave u behind either. just learn to control this rear wheel beuaty and 've got urself a car for life ;)
Start with an alfa romeo, save up buy a chrysler 300c, then on the first boss (wolf - tfk) hope to get his pinkslip, i did this and got the car from all three bosses by getting their pinkslips, and had a db9 and dodge charge until the slr mclaren was unlocked then kit that up to full, but keep dodge charger on full tier 2 stats for drift races and canyon sprints no actual canyon races, the acceleration just powers you out of corners, otherwise use the slr for every other race at the end
The best car to start out with is the alfa remeo cuase its got the best handleing and its and exotic, exotics are the best in the game by far. you tune them and its over their acl is just as good as muscle cars and the handle is better than tuners. Hint to take hairpin corners hit the speed beaker then hit the nitro, but be careful not to flip the car

For me no other vehicle compares to the Mazda Rx8 at the beginning of the game, out of the three of which you can choose. Though really it depends on you the driver. I have personally completed the game four times using a different vehicle each time and have come to the conclusion that if you want:
-Speed and acceleration; then the camaro SS (Muscle) is best for you (for a beginner I do not recommend this car).
-Agility and good handling; Mazda RX8 (Tuner) is for you this car once tuned also does not disappoint in the acceleration/speed category also, and proves a great ride for beginning and experienced game players alike.
- And for an even well handling quick ride as long as you are willing to pay a little extra is the Alpha romeo this also proves a very trustworthy car for a beginner.
of all of these cars even when fully tuned none of them are good enough to complete the entire game.
once you have earned some real cash you can afford the best of the best the top four cars in the entire game are as follows
4-Porsche Carrera
3-Ford GT
2-Lamborghini Murcielago
1- and the best car in the entire game Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren
I would say start off with the alfa cuz in my view Wolf and his crew TFK are probably the hardest crew to beat cuz they got the best cars on the game so every time I play it I always start with the alfa and clock the game in about 4 days so start with da alfa and then buy a muscle car and beat angie and her crew 21st street and then beat the easiest guy Kenji and his crew the bushido.
Easy, all I did was use my 06 Charger SRT8 and gave it all the Tier2 performance parts I had and flew by him for the 9 seconds you need in the 2nd stage of the 3 races. Easyyyy
You don't really need to supe up your car
I used the RX-8 to start,then i used the RX-7,, oh yeah and when you race Kenji and he lets you pick 2 of the six prizes. Pick the first one i think it shoudl be the first becuase on the second boss it was the second card, and the third boss it was the third card, but anyways,, just buy the newer cars and then only supe up the Porche when you get it,, thats that i did and i beat the game??? Yes.go to the main menu screen and enter down up left right up square triangle..It should give you the extra money. but if you already used a money code you can't use it again.
Pretty sweet, very nice especially in Downtown area. some of you guys finished this game rather quickly, actually took me a full week but I didn't play it a lot daily but very fun game! one of my favs. NFS games.
The best I ever seen but im one of those guys that noitices small details like in the movies the cars tires dont turn and while your playing the game the cars floating but the rest I LOVE okay mabey not that much but still pretty cool.
I thought the Skyline would beat him because the handling is AMAZING and it's pretty fast too, but Darius's car is faster and also has pretty good handling. What you should do is get the Corvette Z06 and make the suspension all the way over on oversteer and the brake all the way on front bias so it can turn somewhat good. At the start of the race use all your nitrous to get a good lead then when it runs out, let it refill for a while before you use anymore. (and take any shortcut you can).

You go to career free roam then click on the square button and look at the key on the top right the find the picture that goes with the car lot then press on the same picture thats on the map then you can pick if you want to drive there or just go then you have to buy the car and customize it the way you want.
Very hard but possible never the less. The tricky part is to control the beast!! Easy around corners, off the accelerator going in then hard as you exit but make sure the car has straightened out first or it will slide too much.
Yes, u jus hav 2 set the engine, trans, suspention, tires, brakes, and supercharger to the settings that fit how u drive. I drift w/ tires in the middle and engine n' trans near the middle an' suspentionall over to the right w/ brakes set to the front and lower supercharger towards the right I did it and the canyon race wuz restarted 2ice
What a load of rubbish, you don't have to have the collectors edition to unlock the camaro concept, just complete the reward card, and it will be available in Quick Race, in the Car "Bonus" section.
Its probably in the collectors edition, but the 07 shelby isnt in the original carbon though, I beat the whole game and the only shelby I have is the old school one.

Forget dat hold analog stick slighty this will make it easyer to handle only use noz at start and stick near the yellow lines go a lot closer 2 the edge if ur a drift fan from previus games
When i drift in a corner, i go around the outside becuase if you go around the inside you somtimes straighten out, and if you go to put your car back sideways you'll just hit the wall. If you go around the outsside however, if you start to go straight and lose the drift you can put your car sideways agin and you won't lose the drift. If you go close to the outside wall you can also just let off the gas and keep drifting
The key is a lot of speed. make sure your car is going fast - try keep it in the green/blue of the speed meter. also, when taking corners hold the analog stick in the direction your turnin, will make your drift last longer and then when u need to make your next turn you just turn the car the other way, will also begin doubling your points as long as you dont hit anything.
When you let go of x it will go pull you choser into the coners and when you punch x it will pull you to the out side if you do it just right and when you notice the screen start to turn be4 a turn that is the best time to start your dift
All u reallllly have to do is is tap the anolog stick and dont use the e-brake or brakes ....ones u feel like u gonnnna fool off let go of the gas or press nitrous and loook at the map for all the turns...its easy..
If your using a camaro ss for drifting like me when you go into the turns the best thing to do is to control it by turning the analog stick the way your turning after like 1 second tap R1 then turn outwards a bit then back in if your going to far near the wall and try and connect them as it goes up and doubles then triples and the more u do the more it multiplies hope it helps all the people who find it hard
Another trick is all about shifting. if you use auto-transmission, force shift(R-stick up) to the next gear. it forces your car to use more torque which makes you slide. manual-trans, just shift up when you are too much inside and shift down when outside. just dont overdo it or youll lose.
Need a muscle car and speed at start to blue then turn and tap the left analog stick, if you get too close to a wall turn back on it and nos a tap enough to push you away, try flow corners aswell and meander on the straights, my best drift yet is a single drift of 345,000 around
* Use NOS to balance yourself out
* Be light on the steering
* Drive as if you were in a race
* Only slow down if you have lots of points and are about to crash
* You can hit the wall if you touch it with the rear side of the car and still keep your points
* Drive in the bonus zone or more points
* Use the hand brake and turn before the corner at sharp corners
* Do not use the breaks at u-bends

Hey, to mustang driver18um, i've beat the 1st boss, and I beat all the other races first, and bought everything I could with an "Alfa Brena"(the bulky exotic car),so you should try that.
As the guy said restart u r system that is not good because if u restart then u have have to do u races again it better if u go just buy the car my brother was crazy about that car but that car is not that much good as u guys think ...lol..
You should use all of the tricks you have learned from beating the previous Crew bosses. Also you should use the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX, as it has excellent acceleration characteristics and is one of the easiest cars in the game to drive.
Use the lamborghini murcielago ( tune it so all its bars are full , well as far as they can go) then overtake him on the first corner ,,,, p.s if he gets back in front of you restart the race until you win
Dude it took me like 24 tries but I beat him with the murcielago all u have 2 do is get familier with the good handling and have a good car and stay on him and watch his moves copy him if u can
To beat darious try buy a muscle car and in the canyon duel insted of turning the first corner try cut him of and turn when u hit him if you do it rite u should keep going in the lead for 10 seconds thats the canyon duel. The race easy take evry short you see and you should win but it might take a lil while since he has the fastest car in the game but all I can say is good luck!
If you want to sucsesfully bet darius in his slow audi purchase a plymoth hemi cuda and upgrade it fully it is fast as, I also have bet him in it and you unlock his audi,skyline,mustang,dodge charger SRT8 and the vw golf r32 wich is actually sold in nz as a golf gti
These are only available in the quick race mode in the collector's edition of Carbon.

After defeating a boss there will be cards like this [?] [?] [?] [?] you can win the pink slip to there rides. Also there is pre tuned cars in the bonus section of quick race.
In the lowest area of Silverton there is a canyon duel against Wolf, and by completing it, you will unlock the Lamborghini Murchielago. But DO NOT use Wolf's DB9. If you do, Wolf will be near impossible to beat. I would recommend using your Vauxhall Monaro, or better yet, selling your Monaro and Camaro and investing in a maxed out Mazda RX-7 with better handling.

Hit o on the world map and it will say on the screen what prise u get for conquring territory in the red part of the map/daruises area.or u win 1 of the races in the same area
If you have the collectors edition of Carbon, try unlocking the Jaguar XK of the 240 SX by completing the challenges involved. If not, then try completing other reward card to unlocked the dump truck, for example.

YES!!!...kk,i had the same problem,i think I even posted it on here but its not up yet...kk,u have to beat 26 challenge series events instead of unlocking 33 cars,there must be a screw up in the game.try it.it will take a long time but at 25 u get a fire truck so...oh ya,it might not just be 26 challenge events u might have to do certain 1's but..all I know is I beat 26,then it said I unlocked 33 cars(even though I had 33 cars for a long time)
U don't need to fill ur garage with 8 cars,u juz need 2 buy or win 8 cars... u can sell the others so u can buy another... if u don't want 2 spoil ur money, juz buy the cheapest car in the car lot...,.,then sell it again,.,.

I don't have a cheat, but the best way I find to win any canyon race is to pass him when your behind him, and stay ahead for the few seconds, and you automatically win.
You save up mony to get a car and to bet darious you can get a subra that is what I bet him with put infinint nos but watch out for the walls and the fastness of your car so you do not hit a wall so it doses not stop you very much

After you beat a boss you can get the pink slip by choosing one of the ? markers and get lucky if this dosent work try again you'll get the pink slip soon enough.
In the canyon duel, pass him on the very first turn around his left. While turning, get in front and let him rear-end you until you are driving straight. On second turn, stay as close to the wall as possible and don't let him pass! After 10 seconds you will have won the entire race. On the race before that, use all shortcuts with speedbreaker, NOS at beginning.
Spend a few races gettin to know the shortcuts he uses den once u feel confident on da track race him its easy wen u know his tricks i beat him usin a mitsubishi lancer ;)
Try and lower your handling a little bit, handling is good but on the canyon races u cant afford to be slowing down all the time (dont make it so low that its sliding everywhere just make it so u still have control over it but u wont have to slow down very much(not saying when u slide it wont slow u down)i had the same problem. it works great!!
I bought the evo 8 and full teir 3 tuned and on the canyon duel there is 1 corner ita a circle but a bit misin out get to that corner u can just drive straight past him on the outside line but u gotta hit the apex just right or ull slingshot out to wide :) hope that helped
There's no real trick to it, you just have to practice. Believe it or not, I was able to beat him with the 240SX (in fact, I was able to win every race in career mode except one Tier 3 Race War and the Kenji/Wolf canyon duels with it - for those races I used the Corvette, lol - but that's a different story). Seriously, if u cant win with the slr you must suck at this game. it is the BEST car you can use to beat him. i overtook him straight away, so if u cant win with that, find an old disney game you might actually be good at.
Ford GT is a great car probably top 4 in the game but unfortunately is not enough to handle th Le Mans unless you have skills like me so for a beginner like you I suggest buying the Mecedes Benz SLR McLaren you unlock this by owning every last piece of turf. Supe the baby up and there is absolutely no stopping you. Compared to the Le Mans it makes is look like like a slow pile of bolts
If u havnt beetin the boss race then u wont get that 15/15 and if u have beet it then u must have missed a race or ur game and/or memory card must be screwed up
I nkow mine is the same, when I go on world map in some parts of the areas that you have won /taken over there are only 2 races but on quick race there are 3 in every single part and I have defeated the boss because I won his car and my memeory card is not screwd up because if it was I wouldnt complete the game (which I have done)
That's basicly because you haven't unlocked those 4 or 5 tracks.. even when you finish the career mode 100%.. I tell you so cuz I noticed there were some areas in the map only includes 2 events instead of 3.. there should be 3 events in each area in the map.. sorry again but I still have know idea how to unlock those tracks.. maybe you should start to find out with me.. let me know what happens.. Lamboghini merchialago (if i spelt it right) top speed a whoping 281mph unlike the audi wich is about 235. to get top speed in any car performance tune it to full hp, highest rpm for turbo/supercharger and gear ratio to top speed
Even if I'd love finishing the game wit Mustang, it don't have Race parts (Damnit!)(Tier2) so itz not one of the fastests. Lambo Murcielago, Corvette, Supra, ... do.
Its definatly the murcielago because if you go on my cars and modify them and soupe them up then you will see that the murcielago is faster and has better handling than the slr
I beat two bosses with the mustang thank you very much and it is very fast you just have to be patient to get the parts.i bat bushido and I think los colibres with the mustang.it is one of the fastest cars in the game.
I think the ford gt is the best I got it up to about 289 on the highway using nitrous I ran out of room so I think I could have got faster. The Ford gt is definietly the fastest
Skyline, got it over 360 mph all you need to do is soup it up all the way im not a hacker either , but.............. I did enter the cheat code for infinite nitrous though hehehehehe
You need a 2nd controller plugged in, and you have to do a multiplayer race. If you don't have a 2nd person, lust drive one to the finish, then the other
Check the controler it might be broken, its not pushed in all the way, something is wrong with the cable or the place where u plug the controler in at is messed up
It is impossible EA games lied during the christmas rush there is no split screen mode nor is there an online mode if you want 2 player I suggest most wanted =)
