You can use the cheat which gives unlimited speed breaker in his race(but not in canyon)the cheat is down right right left right up down square.when you aplly speed breaker you use it through out the race.

I had the same problem.But then I realised mitsubishi eclipse is a tier 2 car which means you can only cutomise it with tier 2 parts.In othher words you can't customise it with Mazda's parts.
Put engine horsepower ,,transmission top speed,,,suspension understeer,,,nos velocity,,,,tires where ever...brakes front bais,,,
turbo,superchargehigh rpm.

Dodge viper. drift all of the corners and you will beat him. in the canyon hit the e brake coming into the inside of the first corner then accelerate slowly in front of him for approx. 1.5 seconds then full out into the second corner. you might fall off the edge but it will still count as a win
I tried the ford gt too and couldn't do it, I was able to beat him with a fully loaded porsche carrera gt with some effort. it is tough, but you can do it. use shortcuts to beat him in the city and pass him after the first turn in the canyon, try starting a new career but in muscle for money, employ neville and race with samson to get an extra $200 and %10 after every win
You should probably use the unlimited nitro cheat( Left Up Left Down Left Down Right Square)and use it all the way through the race. If that doesn't work, then you should use an exotic car.
Honestly speaking, exotic cars are worthless. I would suggest you to buy a Dodge challenger for the deciding 5 race series against darius. It is cheap compared to all other tier3 cars. Tune it to the max. And you can win cannyon sprint in the very first attempt. Then the city sprint also can be won in very first attempt. Then comes the circuit with darius. Here it is pretty simple, just stay ahead of darius all the time. To do that take all the three short cut routes accurately and he is done just like that. Then comes the final cannyon duel with darius. Here it is very simple to beat him. Do not scratch your heads any more. Your Dodge challenger is more faster than his audi. Start fast and stay to the left of road and in the very first left corner you see you can get pass darius just like that. Then comes the real task. try and hold him till you pass second dead fall corner to the right. 10 seconds are finished and you are the winner. if he passes you restart again. do it few times and you are there. Muscle cars are the fastest in straights. Dodge challenger especially is good at handling as well.
