I just reach to the settler's level and I can select the clay pit from the buidling menu, but it won't let me place the building near the Clay area or anywhere else. Why?

I renamed my warehouse with "BonanzaCreek" but dont effect. money are still low. dont change. no money. my version is Anno 1701 v 1.02 patch?

It doesnt work with the patch because the patch updates the program and changes it. at least thats the way mine did.

I have tried changing the warehouses name and it won't change. Is this only good for the UK version? Also how do you change the name of the town? Are these cheats good for any version? Do I need to update the patch for these to work or what? Thanks for any kind of assistance!

I've got the same problem. But you can change the name. Click on the warehouse. In the lower right hand corner will be a little thing that changes the warehouse name. Everywhere I've looked it has said that this is the way to do it but only for the EU version, I can't find anything NA version cheats and it's a little aggravating.

How do you rename warehouses?

A1:

Click on the warehouse, and then click on the bar that has the original name in it. It should be highlighted after clicking on it. Then place the cheat in the bar and press enter after you have renamed it. Though this only works in Singleplayer....

In the lower. Right hand side when you open up the warehouse is a CIRCULAR mini window with the warehouse name that you CAN change . Tried the BonanzaCreek cheat and that did work .

I have looked and tried but it still won't let me rename the warehouse?
How do you rename the warehouse?

1. Highlight the warehouse.
2. Highlight the name of the warehouse.
3. Type in the cheat name.

A2:

Apparently you cannot in the scenarios. If the warehouse/city name is "base" if you click on it to try to change it you will get "Not possible to edit city name". In other words, you are hosed. Might as well unload the game and erase the directory.
