Q: How do you change the costumes?

A1: In career mode after you have bought the alternate costume go to change guitarist and pick a guy and after you pick it will let you change there costume

A2: In Medium, Hard or Expert mode, buy a new costume from the shop. Aftre that, go to "Select Charachter" and it will give you the option of which costume to wear.

A3: When you get money, and buy the costumes you want, then go to change character and press the green fret button on the caharacter you bought the costume for. You can use the strum button to chose the new outfit.

Q: What if u cant play some of the songs and it frezzes up a lot on certain songs what do I do?

A1: That means your cd is scratched or your ps2 is old I cleaned my cd and it worked try cleaning it

A2: Check yo see if your cd is scratched or if its dirty thats what I do!!

A3: My ps2 was doing the same thing and throwing the music off beat... my disk was brand new and had no scratches... I ended up taking my ps2 appart and cleaning the laser lense... be careful when doing so though... dont touch the lense with your fingers... use 2 q-tips and isopril alcohol... use one dry q-tip to hold down the laser and the other (with alcohol) to clean it...

A4: Your ps2 needs to be cleaned and sometimes if you leave your disk out of its case and its not IN the ps2, dust will get on it and leave scrathces. If there are a lot of scratches on your disk, try putting alcohol on it and wipe it off with a Q-tip

A5: Sumthing might be wrong with your ps2 or your xbox 360 , or your cd is scratched .. it does the same thing to me sometimes , but when it does that , it means you'll have to get another ps2 or CD

A6: Well one of my 360 games has messed up before and I took my friends advise and I will pass it to you. put some normal toothpaste on your disk all around in the silver part,NOT the clear center.then what you do is rince off the toothpaste in warm water.pat dry and then try to play.make sure to use colgate or something like that because some toothpast will just dammage the disk.Rock on my fellow rockers! -Answer by:asqurttgun

Q: I'm just starting hard mode and am having a huge issue with hand placement. What's the best/easiest way to hit that orange button and still be in place without missing notes.?

A1: It depends on the song really, but I find it's easier to keep your 4 fingers on the higher notes, and stretch your index to cover both the red and the green button.

A2: Use the normal hand movement but have a friend or family hold the orange when needed. I hope you have at least friends.

A3: No matter what.its better to play with ur middle finger on the yellow.

A4: Have ur pointer finger on red so that u have red yellow blue and orange covered it's easyier too use ur pointer than it is too use ur pinky

A5: Put your index finger on the red button middle finger on the yellow button etc. put a rubber band on the green button so u dont have to stretch ur finger over to it u just have to strum when there is a green note.

A6: Put your index fingers on the red button. Then if you have a G-Y chord stretch your index finger to the green while keeping your middle finger on yellow. Of course you can't do this for a G-R chord, but if you absolutely must move your hand down, try to get it back asap

A7: I actually keep my "normal stance" and I just switch up and use my pinkie lol well, it works for me!

A8: My way is when yuo see an orange note slide all your fingers down 1 fret then when you see a green go back up.... after you do it for a while it gets easy

Q: How can you get more songs?

A3: The easiest way to get more songs is to beat the game on easy. After beating the game on easy you will have all the regular songs. To get the "Encore" songs you must beat it on at leat medium difficulty and to get all the extras you will use your money you collect tu purchase them at the store in career mode.

A4: Play career mode on medium, hard or expert. Go to the store and you can buy new songs if you have enough money.

A2: You have to play the game on Medium, Hard or Expert to earn the all needed money to buy what you need from the store, once you have bought these items for example if you buy new clothes for a charature you go to chracture select choose the one you want then choose the clothes you want them to wear.

A3: You buy them at the store but you have to go to Career Mode and play medium, hard, or expert

A4: There is a cheat code on pretty much all major cheat sites. The code unlocks EVERYTHING. The only down side is, saving is disabled. The whole point of the code is for u to play the game w/ friends.

A6: All you need to do is play the game on medium hard, expert. then go to the store they are kinda close to the bottom of the store.

A1: Yes, that means hit it twice

Q: In hard level you have to push the white bar really fast. It seems impossible. Any tips? I heard you should "strum" it, meaning push it up and down...but I tried and it's too hard.

A1: Cut out some skateboard griptape, and glue it to the strum bar, it gives you traction.

A2: For certain notes, you don't need to strum all of them. If there's a string of different notes coming up, you can strum just the first one and fret the rest. That only works, though, on some notes: if you look at the white thingamabob on top, some of them will have a ring around them. The ones without the ring you don't have to strum. For the rest, though, like on Misrlou (sp?), you just have to go up and down really fast. =)

A3: Like in hangar18 the begining.... I just strum up and down and I get it perfect every time

A4: I use my middle finger and thumb and strum up and down, and I got through expert fine. Misirlou is good practice.

A5: Theres alot of hammer-ons and pull-offs they are simple to learn try the tutorial it will teach you how to use them

A6: My preference is to play it like a bass guitar with index and middle finger. Always always IMIMIMIMIM. I taped a cut piece of straw just above the pick guard for a thumb rest. I just picked up GH 80's a week ago, started on expert and I've got two songs left to finish expert. Of course, GH 80's is easier.

A7: If you come up to a note and the center of the next note is glowing you can do a hammeron or pulloff

A8: Put your index finger on the bottom, and your thumb on top. That's a comfortable position for me, and most people I've seen play GH2.

A9: Move the strum bar up and down(that means to alt strum) really fast if the notes are close together. If that doesnt work just try to strum really fast.

A1: You just practice. it's that simple. I'm 16, got the game two weeks ago, and have beaten Hard already. don't take the fun out of the game, just get better and feel good about yourself :)

A2: Say that you are playing and a red note appears then an orange one after that.... move your first finger to the red instead of your second finger and then shift all of your fingers down one so that you are ready for the upcoming orage one! Other than that... practice!!

A6: Study songs you absolutely can't pass. for these songs, just keep your fingers starting on red. you can press green notes with the edge of your pointer, easily.

A9: Lol, to the responses above me. on some songs there r orange notes on medium, as well as power chords. these r mainly to bonus songs, but I think there might be one song in which theres an orange note on medium. anywa,s they key is to learn how to put ur pointer finger on red, otherwise u will [bold]never[/bold] beat the game

A2: Ranks One star Get 64% or less of the notes correct. Two stars Get 65% to 76% of the notes correct. Three stars Get 76% to 88% of the notes correct. Four stars Get 88% to 96% of the notes correct. Five stars Get at least 96% of the notes correct. Gold five stars Get every note correct on a song. That is false information. I played a song and got like something around 90% and I got 4 stars. Then my brother played it and he got higher score than me but around 86-88%. I missed a few notes with gaps and he missed a couple of more but at the same time so he could keep his x4 multiplier most of the time. I got up to like x3 and then I missed one over and over again. Once again, He got 5 stars, I got 4. I had more %, he had more score. Since all songs have different ammount of score to achieve, there's no "score for 5 stars".

A3: It might not be the propper cheat ... but if you REALLY want to get all of them I reckon you should start practising ... for me , well its easy coz my handz are very addicted to it .. HEHE :P

A2: Alright dudes master of masters! ok really now it took me 2 hours to beat Jordan, its all about you getting into the song and just be with the beat, before you even think about trying it go to Traning and practice solo A B and C first keep practing until you can accomplish at least 73% after that do the other half and then the whole solo but try it on slower then slow then full speed. thats all I can say now I can do most of the time jordan 99 to 100% percent just go to youtube.com and check for five star on expert song Jordan! peace Rock on dudes

A3: You need to put it on your game as a custom song. go to youtube and type how to put a custom song on guitar hero 2, but first you have to find the song and learn how to put it on. or go to scorehero.com it tell you how to put song on there. just to want you thogh you need to download about 3-7 thing on your computer in order to put a coustom song on your game, but score hero tell you every thing you need to download there. oh yeah I forgot to tell you, you need to burn a copy of guitar hero2 for this to work. I hoped I halped you in any way

A1: If you have a ps3, you can not enter cheat codes. if you have a ps2, im sorry for being unhelpful

A2: You just have to enter the code fairly quickly.

A3: You don't need to restart the PS2, but you're in the right menu. You may have entered the code incorrectly. Try again, but this time, enter the code faster.

A4: Are you sure you're not using the correct version? cuz there are two versions of the cheats.......for the regular ps2 and for PAL ps2! (i think pal is modded [the fat one])

A5: I don't think so. You have to press the cheats super fast. Unless you can do the cheat quickly, it will not work.

A6: There are many different cheats for the same things what you need to do is go to main menu {just the main menu} search for other codes for the same thing.

A7: You need to hit the buttons really fast. so memorize the code and hit them fast

A8: You do have to be hovering over "Career Mode" to enter them.

Q: Hammering---ok so let me get this straight, the ones w/out the white ring can be only fretted. strum the 1st note, then fret the rest. is that right?

A1: You can pull-off or hammer-on or just strum them,any way is good.

A2: When you hammer on and off you can just strum the first note and play the other two without touchung the strum bar.

A3: GH1 and 2 Pull-off and Hammer-on aren't always reliable. But on GH3 it's almost im possible to miss them. If you have GH3 it'll make good practice.

A1: 1.) I beat hangar 18 on xpert, and all I can say is practice. also I played it like I was trying to strum all notes on jordan, so good luck buddy. 2.) "always green" cheat doesnt work. it's non-existant PRACTICE
