You have to make use of Frank a few times to help you get them all. I found it easier to shoot down many planes by attacking from the side. They're very slow so its easy to overshoot them.
A2:

When the bombers come in in a formation fly through the formation guns blazing and then turn around and pick them off one by one from behind.

I have been playing this game for a week or so, but my understanding is the red indicators are enemies are necessary to completing the mission. The orange ones are not. I could be wrong, but this has worked for me so far. I am the New Georgia level now.

Order Frank to engage enemy and ask Tom for cover. When you see that enemy planes are away from you or all gone, slowly line up with the ship. Press 2 to engage the landing gear. Go in as slow as you can to land and keep pushing back on joystick. Be careful not to run into something.

This is a tricky one. You need to turn right in order to approach the runway from the right end. Get back to the coast line with the Green target arrow on your right. Bring the plane in slowly using the brake and hit the runway as early as possible. Take care not to hit the burning tanks. Navigate to the location marked in green on the right and bring the plane to a halt. Press Select to change planes and you're off again. -Answer by:SaracenGB
I had a great deal of trouble with this also. I was flying in simulator mode which I like best for normal game play, but is very difficult for this task. Switch to arcade mode in options menu, this makes a huge difference. I was able to land and switch planes on my first attempt in arcade mode.
I had alot less problems when I switched to using the Zero as my plane. And do what the other people said above
Way easier to land the bi-plane. I can stop the plane, but when I hit the #1 button on
the Wii to switch planes, nothing happens and time runs out - very frustrating. Is there an exact spot to land or other button to hit?

Once you have landed and stop, press button 1, then in the inner view of the plane you will see the instruction to switch planes, I guess the option is button 1 too.
Hey I play this game on wii and I keep landing the plane and navigating to the other end of the airstrip and I hit the 1 button like alot ive done this at least 20 times do I have to be at a certain spot when I hit the 1 button?
Sorry for asking a question in answer area but I think it is more effective thanks for your time

I completed this level just last night (12/03) after reading about this trick on another site, so I cannot take credit for it. Upon completing, I believe the third wave if beach landings, the tower says something about losing Henderson Field. As I recall, there are Zero fighters in the area. These are not critical. At this point, you still have control of the aircraft. Send the others to attack the Zeros and land your plane. Stop near the hangar and wait it out. The tower will still go through the motions, but you should be safe if you started in good repair. When the timer is about to run down, the screen will tell you to press SELECT to switch planes. You get the torpedo bomber to attack enemy ships. Not very sporting, I know, but it keeps you from throwing the controllers like I did several times! Good luck.
It's not easy... but I've succeeded twice now... here's how (for Wii):
As soon as you're hit by flack turn about 90 degrees to the right (the easier way to turn) and push the throttle to full speed. Cross the bay toward the ship shooting tracers. Try to cross the beach left of the airport (near where the explosions are happening in the water). As you come over land put down your landing gear, turn right toward the airstrip, and pull back on the throttle to full slow. Get lined up with the runway... stay low so you touch down as early as possible. You need to touch down in the clear area so you've got control to steer clear of burning vehicles. Keep throttle full slow. Roll out, avoiding vehicles and buildings. When you come to a full stop press [1]. You'll be in a new plane, ready for takeoff.
Yes, Arcade controls make it easier... So does flying a Spitfire.
Good luck... keep at it.

You can't switch planes on any missions except the Guadacanal one
Easy buy a different game, Ubisoft sucks!
Once you load your profile and select the campaign you want to fly, you'll come to a screen that includes the plane you usually fly. While on that page.... look on the top-left of your controller, and that cross-shaped selector. hit the left-or-right selectors, and that will scroll you through different planes. once you have the plane you want, press the blue 'x' on the controller's top right.... and you should be flying that plane....hope it helps..
It says to press Select in the Guadalcanal Mission.

Use the two green lines on the right of the screen the bottom line is sound and the top is distance, fly around untill the bottom line is full and fly in a straight line untill both lines are full, then you will see the camps
Its easy. youll see two green bars on the screen. one bar is for direction and the other is for distance from target. fly around and get both bars maxed out in size and you will find the intended whatever youre looking for.
The top bar is the direction the bottom bar is the range.
If the top bar is 'filled' then you are going in the right direction.
If the bottom bar is filled you are really close.
If the top bar is 'filled' then you are going in the right direction.
If the bottom bar is filled you are really close.
On the right of the screen the top bar indicates distance from the germans while the bottom indicates what direction they're in. get the bottom one to full and fly until the top one is almost full and look around
All you people are on crack, ive been flying for hours and there are no green bars anywhere on my screen
On xbox 360 you have to follow the radar voices
How do you follow the radar voices? Once the voices start they keep on talking no matter where I go.

Basically just fly around until you hear the beeps and there is 2 bars on the right hand side of your screen. 1 shows the direction of which the bases are and the other is the distance.
When the green range indicator lights up, hold the secondary weapon button until it takes the picture, don't just click it once, you have to hold it while the range is still green.
All you need is to fly there is a sensor in your map so fallow it wen I full it mean your close too the base

Dunkirk ,
I've reached the battleship & 2 destroyer stage, am I supposed to destroy the ships and the enemy aircraft or only the 3 ships??
I'm not getting anywhere. No matter how many aircraft I destroy, I don't seem to be able to destroy the
ships even though my aim is fairly accurate.
Question from: flyboy(12)
A1:

You basically do it in sequence. Look for the red arrow follow it and it will show you your first target, when it is destroyed follow the red arrow for the next one.
A2:

You will have a Circle thing and if its lit up you can drop bombs if not you cant, anyways use the L2 to track the ships FIRST go to the ship that it points and press L1.

This one was hard for me to, first of all there are 3 Waves of german bombers, which you will need skill and luck to defeat them all before you or the fleet die. Then you will need to go to 3 ships and sink all of them by using L1 and line up the torpedo with the Ship.
A2:

Focus on the red targets. Those are primaries. The aircraft in the white brackets are secondaries. Take care of the red marks and you'll get through.

Fly to the landing strip quickly then fly as slowly as possible and keep the plane a straight as possible down the runway
Pull back on the throttle and slowly land it. the computer will automaticly control the plane to go right ..i thinik. so keep it straight and just bring her in...:)
When using simulator controls it seems like there is a bug that doesn't allow you to compensate for the rudder turning right. Switch to arcade controls and you will be able to compensate to hold the plane straight.
Here's an important point: Make sure you are trying to land on the runway. I had many unsuccessful attempts trying to land on a road. The runway is more inland than the roads.
Keep target (runway) to the right of you as long as possible.

You fly to the sound of the beep beep, closer you get closer you are to the target. When you see a naked german chick - RUnnnnnnnnnnnnn
If you hold L2 as if you where dropping a torpedo and fly towards the target. if you watch the green bars and as soon as you get within range of taking the picture hold down L1 until you hear the click of the camera.
You take the pictures of the german bases, you have to find them in order otherwise they will not appear as a target..:)
