Q: How do I qualify for the woodsmen guild (besides playing the English)?

A1: Unfortunatly, you can't get the woodsmen guild unless playing the English. Sorry:-(

A2: You could play as the Russians who also have them.

A3: Keep a high Chivalry (4+) Governor in the settlement and build the Brothel series of buildings. If you just demolish then rebuild the basic Brothel as often as you can you should get access to it.

Q: The Characters live un realistic life times, like they only age one year after four turns, how can you change this?

A1: Because each turn represents a season of the year and so 4 turns = 1 year you can change this in the options menu or before you start the game I believe

A1: You need to use the @ or ' key

A1: Yes, all diffrent messages, with movies. Though they won't tell you when something can happen. The Mongols appear about 5 turns after the message. The Timurids I don't know. And the Americas, instantly when you get Caravels or Carracks. -Answer by:Warluster

A1: The notice about the outcome of the mission should have a box "Don't show again". Untick it.

Q: How can I get the assassin to automatically succeed in his next mission? I've tried adding tonnes of traits and ancillaries, but he still keeps failing or dying.

A1: Unlike the spy who can increase his chances of success to 100%, an assassin with 10 agent skills still might fail... you observe this in that the chances of assassinating factionleaders or heirs rarely exceed 20%. It's really a matter of luck. Most of the time though, your assassin should succeed more often than of he had less agent skills. You can try to give low personal security traits to your targets via cheat although I haven't tried this myself. Once I was able to eliminate a faction using only assassins by maxing out the agent skills as soon as I recruit them and then pray. good luck. =

A2: assassins with higher agent skills do have better chances to succeed. Somehow, he could be killed. Save first before you put him in action, and load again and again until you he succeeds. It works for me.

A3: Kill easy people like caption and work your way up to prope family members ect

Q: I cant bring the console up with (~) is it because I dont have/have number lock or F lock on? or is it because im running the game with vista?

A1: Well I had the same problem, but im using a swedish computer. I pressed the "ö" button 3rd from the left of the return /enter key.

A2: I have a Danish keyboard and its the same here. it seems to be the key right to the "L" key on most keyboards nomatter what language it is ...

Q: When is it when you can get gunpowder units and can sail to america please tell me?

A1: You can sail to america in the year 1400. upgrade sll your docks to naval dockyards/naval drydocks. you will be able to recruit carracks or caravels, depending on which faction you are.

A2: You get gunpoder units at turn 80

A3: Gun powder is at turn 83 and south america turn 200

Q: When I press the `key I get a thin black screen with medieval shell written at the top, is that the console you gus are refering to. If the ~ doesnt work for me and if so I cant get the add_money to work?

A1: Yes,that's it.You should see a flashing line at the top.That is where you input the codes.When the console is up you can't click anywhere other than on the console or you won't be able to type on it.To fix this you simply push ~ once to take the console off of the screen then push ~ again to bring it back up.When yo bring it back up you can type again. To do the add money cheat and any other cheat you need to use the keyboard because the mouse doesn't contribute to cheating.To do the add money cheat push the ~ key.After that you simply type the cheat in. Type in this: add_money 40000 (type this exact phrase)

A2: The button you have to press is ~. if you find a different button that works, then try it. but it has to bring you up to the medieval shellbox. thats where you can put cheats in.

A3: Yes that is the console and the money cheat will work there but you can only get up to 40000 each time you type it in

Q: In the Grand Camp. How I I make my turn be more faster?

A1: Ok in the game I put in the cheat create_unit and for a example I can put in create_unit London Longbow 2 9 3 3 and it works :} but :{ it does not work for other names that have a space between the name like amoured swordsmen can you help me !!!

A2: Put quotes around the unit name Ex: create_unit Naples "Dismounted Chivalric Knights" 5 9 3 3 it should work

A3: It works for any unit, but Armoured Swordsmen are awkward. They're code is: Armored Swordsmen. Put it in as create_unit London "Armored Swordsmen" 4 9 3 6. Do the same for cavalry units, like English Knights.

A4: How do you know what the code is ?

A1: To get the cheat menu thing (Called the Medieval2 Shell) you have to press the ` buttin (under the Esc key) and then type in the cheat. -Answer by:Warluster

A2: Press the `/~ button above tab and enter add_money 40000 you can't add any more than that amount

A3: On my computer I have to press the @/ ' button so try this as well if it doesn't work

Q: I want to know in detail how to unlock the different factions. I tried it, but my computer wouldn't let me save the cheats. It said it was a read-only file and to enter it under a different name( I put descr_scrat 2) but it wouldn't let me save it under text files, so I saved it under all files. please help! (I have Vista).?

A1: I have Windows XP, but the descr_strat was a read only for me as well. I just right clicked on the text file, selected properties from the menu that appeared and un-ticked the box next to where it says read only. I then could edit and save the file, which I did. I have had no problems or anything.

A2: You cant save it on Vista for some reason. Happend to me 2

A3: Copy the descr_strat file and then name it something else...delete the real one...then put the other file you copied in to the folder where the real descr_strat file was...and rename it descr_strat .......I have vista too it took me like over an hour to think of that LMFAO! Then I was like oh $hit I'm good yo! hahaha Oh yea can you do me a favor maybe.. I messed up my descr_strat file up so bad and messed my back up one too...idiot I know! can you maybe be a pal and email me a copy text of the descr_strat file please. A1: Press the "@" key first, then the console will open type in lower case add_money 50000 then press return you will see your money has gone up by 40000 next press the up arrow key, and the add_money 50000 will appear again press return and another 40000 will be added, keep doing this until you are happy with the amount of money that you want

A2: Type add_money 40000 exactly like that

A3: Just type in the console box, add_money then the amount of which you want, 40000 is the maximum amount at a time. add_money 40000 (then press return) if you now press the up arrow key, the add_money and the amount you entered will appear again, press return again and it will add that amount a second time, if you press the up arrow key and return over and over the money will increase very quickly, you can have millions if you want. Sorry i should of typed 40000 instead of surgesting 50000 in the first answer.

A1: Same like units... separate the names with underscore

A2: Instaed of using his name, type "this" Highlight the character, move him/her into the field give_trait "this""GoodCommander"5

A3: Use speach marks "Pavis Croosbowmen"

A1: You have to make sure that the read only is checked off (right click and it should be checked...)

A2: If you go in to my computer then the c drive you should b able to get tp it from there but some pc's wont let you open the c drive so go to notepad the file, open, my computet, c drive etc
