As you throw the ball, press up on the left stick- making the quarterback run towards the line of scrimmage.

I notice that the height of the player affects his speed.. taller he is, faster the speed. of course, along with how fast you move your fingers to make him run. position of player ia another factor, as well as what type of player.. for instance, freak hb is faster than balanced hb, and such.

You can't. I am a running back and I went to workouts with Carolina, New England, and I think Buffalo, and I ended up getting drafted by the Patriots. It is random.

I have the Seahawks as my favorite team,and they always draft me.I guess you just have to get lucky
No it asks you if you want to be drafted by your favorite team and you say yes then they draft you
I don't know how to explain it. I have the Steelers as my favorite team, and I get drafted by them every time.:)

but if you play a position that your team leans towards in the draft it will improve your chances

You can't use a created team for anything but "Play Now".

I'm pretty sure you can load your created team in franchise mode as well, but you have to replace an existing team. I always replace the Raiders.
In Franchise mode you can load your created team it will show the button to load your team then you will have to take out one team and take their schedule,also I think you take their head coach.

This may not work, but have you triied going to rosters in the main menu and signing an extra player to Greenbay. It's under my madden-rosters-and then just sign a free agent to Greenbay.
