I had this problem myself how I resolved this was using a second created golfer load up there profile start a round, quit go back to your golfer who was having problems starting your second season and hey presto your golfers career will never freeze again!

Often you can swing to fast or your controller may be dirty and not picking up your movenment try a different controller if the problem continues. try slowing your swing down

Your sponsors are found on the pga tour page with the icon of a baseball cap here you can see a list of all the sponsors you have unlocked if you then push view my sponsorship button square or X you can check how much you get from your sponsors and what sponsors articles your using for instance if you have unlocked lets say the nike sponsor and you wear a nike hat it will tell you that and how much your being paid to wear it on a round

Theres only hats that I have come across and tbh there's not even many of them. you have a black and a white baseball cap and a black and a white visor so 4 hats in total.

That happened to me too... I started playing fedex cup and after winning the first tournament it let me into 09

Create a new golfer, start a round with that golfer. Quit the round, and go back to the golfer you are having problems with and start your second season. It will never freeze again! :)

The answer is simple really top 10 finishes and consecutive wins. the ranking points are based as with any sports game all about form. you compete and do badly you lose ranking points as with winning increases them. best advice I can give dont finish last. btw im not sure how many points you get per event havent really checked that out I have a theory but ill post at a later date if I collect enough data to prove my theory.
