Hmm well the notes that you put in for the cheat will not make sounds (the chords) so try rechecking on the cheat and doing it w/o making a mistake. If you are SURE you didn't do anything wrong, and it won't work, then the cheat may be wrong. Hope this helps! -Answer by:Elemental782
I just put in this cheat, its true you don't hear the cords, because its only play's up to 3 notes at a time.
But if you do it correct you hear people cheering at the end.
Just do it slow, speed doesn't matter
"LOL". Are you serrious, because I never heard anything like a cheat that can unlock everything before. There is a cheat that can unlock all songs. Try this GR, B, GR, GY, B, GY, RY, O, RY, GY, Y, GY, GR and this G, R, G, Y, G, B, G, O, G, B, G, Y, G, R, G, GR, RY, GR, YB, GR, BO, GR, YB, GR, RY, GR, GY. One of those two is unlock all songs, the other one is another cheat, I forgot what is that cheat is but trust me they both work.
I did the unlock everything cheat and it worked...on the ps2 i did it on a dualshock controller.

then enter the code using those...it works.
The cheat is bogous the game is unable to save with that cheat you have to keep putting in the cheat but if you put in the cheat to often the file corrupts it happened to me -Answer by:ElementSkater13
Ok, simple, maybe the saves got mess up by the "corrup data" in your merory card. If you have that "corrup data" than you need to buy a new memory card because that data can't not be deleted and it will mess up other game that you have.
In guitar hero III there is an option to put cheats through the options.
so you only need to enter optionscheatsenter cheats
there enter the code + Strum so it will show up in the cheats window and work perfectly
(Most of these answers don't even get to the question...) Besides that, yes, you have to strum in GH3 to input cheats, and no, you don't have to do it SUPER fast... It is really hard to do and I am still trying to figure it out but try to tie a rubberband around the green button and hit each note red through orange and after each hit QUICKLY hit the strum bar without any buttons down U must GO VRRY VRRY FST
