I'm at the part of the Chronicler's lair. Four doors open: one has fire magic, one has ice, one has lighting, and one has earth magic swirling around in it. I went through each one but I can't complete any of them because i'm always stuck at this door that won't open. And there is this weird crab thing freakin' out and running away from me. I tried attacking it but nothin' would work. I think the crab-thing has somethin' to do with opening the door. What should I do?!

Have defeated large group of apes and scorpions, jumped in little boat which zig-zagged through 2 ships firing cannons at each other, turned and crashed into the boarded up section at bottom of 2nd boat. Found switch by blowing up with cannon. Into 2nd room with 3 mesh bridges across the room and I can't open the top grate to get into elevator... can someone help?
