Well, if youre talking about the ps2 and wii versions, good drag cars are the mazda rx-8, the '65 Pontiac Gto, and tha pagani zonda.( with the tuned zonda I got a 5-second quarter mile). Well what yo really want to do for tuning is think of the car in real life. For the engine, setall the bars close to the right, this helps with power( wheelies and whatnot). For the next step, it sounds crazy, but lower your ride height to three or four movements from thr lowest. make all the rollbars stiff and make the rear tires more pressurized. Also, the tires should have a turn-in rating. For the nitrous pressure, this is key!---make the pressure very high, and make the flow a little more than half on the right side. Don't worry about brakes, I really don't think you'll need them. Hope this helps, have fun with the info.

Go on garage then like arcoss and down
Go select car and then up or down
If you go on garage and go on select car and it will show you your cars if you press up you will go to a specific type of car keep going up until you find the type you want
In the main menu, go to career>garage>select car. When you see your cars, go up/down to scroll through different types of cars (tuner, muscle, etc...). When you choose the desired type of car, press left and right to go through selections. Before you buy a car though, go through all the available races to see if you won't be winning the car you want as a prize in one of the upcoming races.
Go to career then to garage then press up or down until you find the car you want then press x if you have the money. Simples! (LOLZ)

If you mean the ps2 or wii, the best car that I recommend is the 350z. For the tuning, you should set the engine power bars all to the...right, I think. nitrous pressure should be high, and the ride height shold also be lowered. Also, tire pressure must be on the high side, a toe-out setting should be used as well.
Why don't you use the same car as Ryo's.Then,modify it to be faster than Ryo's car.

Ok, so to beat Ryo, you might want to use these, but remeber, theyre only an option, and they are easier to handle. So, for Drag, you might want to use the '65 pontiac GTO or the mazda RX-8. Make sure its drag-tuned like in my last anwer above. For speed, a useful car might be the lamborghini murcielago, race tuned with the wheels slightly toe- out. or either mistubishi evo, race tuned to the highest levels. For grip, the Gt-r r35 or R34 might be useful, or the nissan 350z, fully tuned. For drift, though, I FULLY RECOMMEND the 350z, with the engine and tires all race tuned for drift. Which is like less tire grip, more power, and higher flowing nitrous.

To do a wheelie, I recommend these low-cost cars: the '65 Pontiac, and the Mazda RX-8. If you don't want to use those, then try upping the rear tire pressure, lowernig ride height(sounds crazy, but it works), and spend money on a powerful engine, and tune it, DO NOT buy a crappy power package, they really don't help that much. Also, in a drag race, fine-tune your timing, and use nitrous right as you hit third gear. Wheelie time!

Alot of horsepower is critical. talking 600-700 or more. then, your gear ratios have to set just right. last, hitting gears and nitrous at the right time will get it done. I have the challenger with 745 horsepower and my gears on the tall side and hit my nitrous in 5th and im doing a wheelie form start to finish. hard to beat a 1,340 foot wheelie.
Ive got an camaro concept car and wot I did was start off cos (ma car got 750 break horse power) pulling a wheelie and in 3rd gear I used ma nos which gave ma a whoping 994 feet wheelie.
I think the new covette is the bes for wheelies, it only needs stage 3 stuff. I got mine to go the whole 1/4 mile
The 1967 Shelby GT500 is best for wheelies.But I prefer the Ford Mustang GT.

The nitrous recharges when you are on the number line wait 2 seconds then look at the nitrous bar then you will see that it is blinking and recharging

A9,the cheats menu isn't only on the PS2.Its also in the XBOX 360 AND PS3.Besides A1,there's no cheat menu in PSP Prostreet.Maybe you have gone crazy.

All right this guy above me was lying, I tried what he said, and just saying "maxed-out" doesn't help. To run a five-second or less quarter mile, youre gonna have to spend some bank, MAJOR BANK. For less than or at 5.00s, I strongly suggest the Pagani Zonda F. Expensive, but quite useful. The dodges and other cars don't usually work for a quick mile, unless its a glitch. As a less money-oriented option, you could also use the '65 GTO, this car tuned to race specs, or "maxed-out with some minor tuning tweaks" This car like this will get about a 7-9 second 1/4 mile. It may not be the fastest 1/4 mile, but you will win every time.

I struggled with this one too so I did the same and come to cheat amsters I entered this code ((mitsubishigofar)) and got a gr8 mitsubishi it needs to be done up a bit but it kills any other cars its also the car that the showdown king has but if you do it up right it will be better

What I did is put stage 2 suspension on it it stips non-muscle cars frm doing it or you can tune the suspencion for hours but if you tune it it should be a 5 second car

By racing on the tracks some rewards are cars
There is a way to get free cars on the psp version if you choose a race to do if you win you'll either unlock a car but you'll have to buy it or you'll get a car for free
You have to go to the location that you want to race on. then if you keep going left or right . stop when you see a car on the race. you have to win to get it.

Yes, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND the 350z. Drift tuned, which by me means higher tire pressure, higher engine power, and nitrous pressure. Toe-out is also useful.

The first option I have takes patience, simply go through the races in that section. If you want it to seem like its going faster, don't look at how much money you have until you absolutely have to. Or you can get to the last autobahn track, and othe short track, which is worth about 12,000. Hope this helps.
