Pretty sure they do 5th gear and nos starts, which to me is cheating. You should be able to find cars that will get you into the mid 6's if tuned properly. Try using stage 2 suspension (no higher or it will wheelstand) on fairly soft settings. Play with your gearing so that your car is at maximum RPM's when at 403Kph or 250Mph and you should start getting some good times.

Buy a chevrolet corvette c6 and upgrade every thing to full. leave all the tuning alown. it can do 403mph at max in 6.9 seconds.
In Japan you have grip and drift, in grip get a Ford GT with all round modifications, for drift get Aki Kimura's Mazda RX-7 by beating him and winning his car.
Ryo does not stand a chance against a Ford GT and a Mazda RX-7!

Its easy just get a skyline with all round upgrades and an rx-7 and you'll win the races
To do a quarter mile in 5 seconds you need a zonda With all round modifications including Engine, drivetrain, forced induction, nitrous, suspension, brakes, tires, wide body kit, spoiler etc get everything stage 4 and dont hold back, but first got to code entery and type in "unlockallthings" to unlock all stage 4 parts and get to work customising!
I have a zonda and my fastest time on the 1/4 was 5.68 I have most of the satge 4 parts the best drag car is a camaro ss they can run it in 5.40 or less!
Basically, I got a murcielago, it does well on the drag strip but if you listen carefully, the host doesn't like the car and says that its the 'wrong choice'!
Last time,I had a GT2 that has 1161 hp.But I sold it and bought a Ford Mustang GT,the one Karol Monroe uses.I upgraded the car with all level 4 parts which I unlocked with the code "UNLOCKALLTHINGS".So,even though it has only about 560 hp,it finishes a drag race by about 4.62 seconds!Follow my advice.That car is SERIOUSLY FAST!
Had the same problem. You need to download the latest update, then go to the playstation store and download them again (free) they will be in your carlot for $0 when yourreturn.
Yea iv bought ever car as well, then when its asks me to download the lastest updates, when its finishs the game wont load up for me so I av to whip ever for pro street off the saved data utility and the game data uitity for the game to work again, and then I redownload then there not on the game and it keeps doin that over and over, what would be wrong?

Get pretty much any car, and install level 3 engine, turbo, drivetrain, and suspension. The suspension is just as important as the rest. Hit a good/perfect launch, shift good/perfect, and you'll wheelie the whole track.
Make sure you have level 3 suspension, all the shocks/springs tuned all the way to soft, toe in the middle, tire pressure all the way down, camber all the way up.
Not sure I dont have those cars yet but if they are like they are in real life then the GT3 RS should be better as it has things like leather seats and air conditioning removed from it making the car lighter and have a better top speed and acceleration but thats only if the cars stats are like they are in real life hope I helped :D
Simple, It takes a considerate amount of time, but it's worth it. Put In The "UNLOCKALLTHINGS" code in (If you have updated the game, then you'll just have to dominate many race days) But if you declined the update, just buy the Acura Integra, which costs $0, but you can sell it for $7.200. As I Said it'll take a considerate amount of time, but yeah, you'll get your $300.000. Peace.
Theres a cheat for, that not many people know, when you first start need for speed or whenever you want enter the code in code entry "UNLOCKALLTHINGS"and by te name it unlocks all the cars and events, but whay not many people know is it gives you 4 free cars!, so to get them exit career then re-enter career then you should, have 4 cars, sell them and you get around, $90,000, then... restart the PS3 and do it all agin, its a much easier way then having to race!
One is to beat ryo but another is to beat the Speed king. for every race starting off at the first nitrocide, you'll get 15,000 plus per race that you win!
The best grip car, that I have used before would be the evo X with all the performance tweeked, or a ford escort with all the performance aswell, the best drag I have used is the dodge charger, all the performance , the best drift car is either the RX7 or toyota supra, and the best speed car I think is the nissan skyline with full performance
For grip it is probably a nissan Skyline, For normal drag a Supra or a Zonda, For wheelie, any long old muscle car will do(i use a charger) For speed I use a RX7 and for speed I have a nice Lamborgini murceilago lp640. Those are the best to use
Best grip car I have is the zonda all upgraded to maximum, best drag I have is the Chevrolet camaro concept all upgraded to the maximum, best speed car I have is the Porsche 911 GT2 all upgraded, and best drift car is the Chevrolet corvette c6 all upgraded!
Ford Mustang GT500 with all round modifications, it makes Karol Monroe look like Joe tackett who is so slow, my Mustang will do 1/4 mile in around 7 seconds and will do 250 mph, it will pull a wheelie for 1000ft

When you start the race (make sure you have a very hihg horsepower car.) pull the controller back toward you and accelerate. the controller works on the same idea as the wii controllers.
See first you shuold buy all stage 3 package for your car.and the suspintion mostly.then tune your car engine to short shifts and you should higher your car as much as you can. and the sespintion make it all soft.then you shuold do a wheelie.by the way the bests cars for wheeli is the mucles cars (dodge charger)

There is 1 way for your back window. find the decal you want, switch zones to the roof of your car, change it 2 white in color. then move with the D pad or analog stick to back window.

&JokerStyle4life (Found Away...) here. If you have the 2.53 update, No codes, "UNLOCKALLTHINGS" or "MASTERCODE" will work ever unless the new updates enable it again. Its sucks... I have my tuned RX-8 n it's a monster drifter! Very balanced ride.. Tuned it to 774hp, tighten up the shocks n springs, stiffen d steering, sometimes its better 2 use LVL2 tires than LVL3 (coz LVL2 tires 'slip' better IMO)..
