There is no way to get the team you want as far as I know. However once you get drafted by a team you should be able to demand a trade. An alternative is to be a real rookie who was actually drafted to the team you want to play for.
You just have to see there ranks and if they have a high and good rank you have to get a high and good IQ test.
When you first start your game, it should ask you what your favorite team is. ( At least for mine. If not, create a new account and try ) When it asks you, select the team you would like to be drafted by. Ex. You want to be drafted to the Colts, so select Colts. When it asks you in Superstar Mode if you would like to be drafted by your favorite team, say yes. They will draft you.

In Madden 08 for Wii, how can I make Reggie Bush my starting HB? right now it's mcAllister, and I can't find a way to even substitute him, or any player. Thanks

Either before game or during game, go to Coaching Strategy and Depth Chart, move to RBs and click McAllister and choose Bush and return to main screen or game. Bush will be your starter for all RBs. Note you may need to sub your 3rd down back with Bush.
Go to Depth Chart and go to HBs. Then swich Bush and McAllister. I did the same thing with Thomas Jones and Leon Washington. Now Washington is the starting runningback for the NYJ [New York Jets]. -Answer by:acemo

This is a cheat if you want to be a wide reciever start over dont make a player go to choose a rookie from the 07 class dont start edit him and you can edit his speed and thats how I make my guy faster better stronger -Answer by:i like chicken

When you first start, you can edit it then, and in the beginning do Speed Challenges in the NFL Comine. Ex. 40 Yard Dash.

Pause the game. And there should be a thing at the pause menu, under the teams scores that says "Team Control" Then it will say two letters. And each time you press one it will change it to "CPU - PLAYER" - CPU: CPU Plays is. PLAYER: You play it.
