I have already checked thouroughly in all the nooks and crannies, and have not yet got any idea where it may be!

In the level guppi and the underground lake:
go down with a shell, dont talk to guppi, but trow your shell at the ship with bomb fisch around it, a launch star will appear
Q:Where is the hidden star in the Dusty Dune Galaxy on the Sunbaked Sand Castle level?

Hidden Power Star: When the launch star is formed, jump to reach the spiny planet here. You can make a quick exit by knocking a coconut into the spiny plant here, but if you want around for a while, you'll hear a rumble and find a wooden stump. (It can take a while to form.) Groundpound the stump to reveal another launch star, which will take you to another rising/lowering tower with some Bullet Bills atop it. Lower the ground around the tower and lure a Bullet Bill from the top (it has to be following you while the ground is lowering), and smash it into the prisons there one of them contains the hidden Power Star.
Q:On the bee level once you get up the windmill how do you defeat the 2 bugs on top of each other, or whatever you have to do to complete that level?
A1:
Just jump above them with A, and in the air, press Z.
A2:
To beat this level, you have to just jump on the bugs. When you jump on them, you must do a ground pound [A and Z].

When your in da air do a ground puond on both of the bugs to kill them. It is very easy. After that well you just beat the level! :^) -Answer by:billybobjoe
Q:How do I get the green star in beach bowl galaxy?
A1:
Go under the water and get one of those torrpedos to chase after you. Then look for a glass chamber with a pipe in it. lead the torrpedo into it to blow the chamber up. enter the pipe and run over to the middle platform to claim your prize.
You have to move out of the way when he tries to smash you when your on the blue thing then his tail will be on fire then hit him when he turns around [repeat 3 times].
Q:How do you get to that one Y shaped planet that you see far away from the station that you are at when you start the game. Cus I tried to get there with the red star power but it wouldn't let me.?

Q:How do you get the secret star on the level called gusty garden's gravity scramble?

Simple really. get all of the question mark coins floating in the air. there should be about of them, when you get 1 the next appears. at the end there is a rainbow star. (makes you invincible) when you get it rush onto the planet with the golden chain chomp and run into it. then the star will appear. good luck ^.^
Q:How do I defeat cosmic mario in the under water race on sea slide galaxy?
A1:
Get a red or green turtule shell and a beam of light will come out of the frount of the turtle shell aim the light where you want to go and the shell takes you there (this works any where under water)
A2:
Run to the end of the dock and long jump to the red turtle shell. Dive once to get underwater then spin until you pull the turtle shell to you. (If you spin near a turtle shell it gets caught up in your spin) Don't follow Cosmic Mario's route to the star. Swim through the 3 "speed" circles to get ahead of him. Once you make it to the island where the star is at, chuck the turtle shell as soon as you can. Jump up the stairs and then use the super long jumps (Z+A buttons) to beat him to the star. Takes a bit of timing. If you know you aren't going to make it, get the 1-up under one of the small islands on the way. Good Luck

I found it really helpful to do a long-jump off the end of the pier on the first island. so you don't have to dive. Get a shell and start around the course clockwise. Hit every speed ring. When you get to the stairs, jump up them and jettison your shell at the apex of your last jump. Run like heck for the shell at the rear of the tower.
I will tell you this in steps
1.Go to star three:the silver stars of sea slide
2.Find the cannon
3.feed the pink luma
4.This will create new planetoid:get there with the cannon.
5.Collect the bee mario powerup before you get in the cannon
6.Now its basicly the same as shrinking satelite ecsept there are notes on every bit of ground.Thats why you bring the bee mario powerup
