You need the hatchet. After you finish Dr. Feelgood's quests, she will give you a hatchet blade. And the area where stuff washes up on the beach everyday, go there, and the handle should wash up in a box. Then you just put it together at the crafting rock, and you can use it.

I am having trouble getting the puffer fish and making the chef happy.. actually he is quite upset with me. I am also having trouble finding a light blue seaweed maybe. I feel like I have completed things out of order and I am pretty lost and frusterated. I also need help with getting the knife and making the fishing pole. HELP PLEASE?

The pufferfish can be found spearfishing in the early morning, like right after the sun comes up.
To make the chef happy, you just have to keep giving him eggs and zucchini and keep talking to him.
The light blue seaweed is found by night diving in the plus-shaped water found on the third island.

Can any one plz help me I need to find drift wood and where do I catch salmon I have been fishing and fishing and yet no salmon every other kind of fish but that. Also where do I get Puffer fish... going nuts plz help?

The drift wood dosn't come in a crate its were the crate would be.
The drift wood is were you would normally find the crate. The salmon is a little tricky to find, in the ocean during the day.
To get the puffer fish go to the part where there is one shrub and where you climb up to go to the chef and go spear fishing in the little area on the left, it can be light or dark.
You get salmon in fresh water(water that isn't the sea) usually at night but sometimes in the day. it looks black with a pink fin. you get puffer fish in the sea at daytime, but you have to fish LOADS to get them. puffer fish look brown with a massive head. -Answer by:jazzyflame

I think deep water and in the day (Just a guess, I'm stuck too!).
Um you can get it in the day but you really have to fish a lot of times because once you improve on the game you'll start to see new fish

Its near the place where you prepare food in the cut out bit at the middle of the day. The puffer fish is brown and sorta looks angry lol I had this same problem but trust me this works
Yeah, the puffer fish is where you first wash up on the island at midday. It's brown and looks kinda like it has teeth on the top of it's head. Hope this helps :)

You get a chisle by helping the chef with crafting a fire, i'm not so sure abut the rest. . .
The chisel isn't unlocked to craft until after you help the chef, the bamboo you grow by trading for seeds with Mrs Weeder, but that also isn't unlocked until you help the chef. The quartz you can dig up anywhere, but you won't ever get it until it is unlocked also. So, 1st, help the chef. :)

You make it at the crafting table with 3 vines. But it doesn't have a picture of rope. it comes under a question mark you'll know it when you serch the question marks you have and it says all you need is 3 vines to make the mystery object. Tadaaa! there's your rope!

Try spear fishing at mid-day in front of your shelter
Mid day in the ocean when everyone you know is in the green. (meaning they are happy with you!)

You need to make a hammer and then get a chisel from the chef. once you've made the boat (takin 3 times to do it completely) you have to keep tryin to click on the arrow (because some people experience difficulties doing this) once it says next area click on it and once you've been there you can simply teleport there (other times) using the map and clicking on any part of that island you've explored.

You make it by bamboo and string with others I forgot
You need 2 bamboo 1 nails and some thread. to get these you: bamboo you get the seeds from mrs weeder and harvest them please note you will need 2 seeds as they can only be harvested once. nails you get from a crate and DON"T TRADE THEM. it can take a real week to get them back! thread you mske from a vine at the object crafting station. it might be a mystery object at first but when you get the stuff it will appear.
You have to make it at the crafting station but you have to wait untill you get far enough into the game untill it shows that you can make it.

Bamboo seeds are fro the farmer need to trade for them and then grow it.
You get the seeds from ms.weeder you have to trade with her palm fonds and flint its a shell you have to dig for it then you plant it water it a few days once its ready chop it down and there you go bamboo.

By doing different things. likw the first time you try something new. example: the first time you hunt for bugs you will get a piece of the map. just so you know there are A LOT of pieces to the map.
There is one by the scull doors but you cant really see it
