Gran Turismo 5: Prologue
If you do a google search you will find some videos on youtube where the person shows you what settings to select and the line to drive. It still took me a little while but I was able to finish 3rd and move onto the A class. Hope this helps.
Lower the traction Control to 5 or lower
First when you start the race, setup your car. setting your car can let you win the race. the setting should not be so high or so low. you can get some tips from the video I added. I HOPE I HELP!

Because you will need to save up for a faster type of car that is the same class and then you can win it easily I sugest the grand trismos own cars for 100,000 pounds
Just use a TVR Tuscan or a Nissan GTR or save up for a Ferrari 599 GTB florano because
under the 599's body ITS A F20007 and an ENZO Combined! Just be careful on the turns at Daytona and the high speed ring. another thing is never trust Honda in anything over c class and don't trust acura

For the S-class you should begin with the Ford GT which is extremely fast if not a little poor in the corners on occassion, however with enough accumulation in your credits for you to buy tuned cars for the respective races, these are wholly the best to use as they are also good in the corners.
In tuning just head into the menu selectable prior to beginning a race and you will be able to modify what you wish. However with anything fast you will need to detune anyway as you performance points will be above the permitted limit, just decrease the weight and power/bhp which should be adequate enough!

Hi, thats happened to me! I simply put the disc into a different playstation 3 system and it started working. Then I put it back in the playstation that it wasnt working on and it worked! Hope this helps!

All you do is put your foot down and slipstream the car in front and you can go on the inside when you aproch them
You mean the overtaking event.Don't follow the first guy.Pushing the accelerator down and slipstreaming doesn't always help.The reason why you kept coming in 8th because you might have ASM turned on.ASM(Active Stability Management),is a system to prevent oversteer or understeer by using brakes. When it is on,you'll take a corner a little bit slow.Turn it off and follow the first guy's instuctions and you'll take a corner a little faster and overtake the other cars.I tried that and won silver.Maybe you can turn off the Active Steering function also.
I never tweaked ASM in any a-class event and made gold. it was not so easy but in fact I can do silver anytime now. these are few things you should consider to reach while racing this event. there are eventually 3 car groups: 1st - alfa...focus. you should leave all of them behind by the 2\3 of the first corner. entering the corner from far right and doing all of the group on the far left side worked well for me. try to go out of that first corner at not less than 220km/h. there will be a checkpoint at the end of the corner. your aim here is to see a less than 8sec gap from the leader - 7.6-7.8 would be great. the next straightline should allow you to overcome the second group ending with (i guess) lancia. it has to be done right before the beginning of the second turn. there will be another checkpoint that has to show not more than 5sec gap this time - 4.5-4.7 works nicely. the third group actually consists of those "unbeatable" citroen and mini. while maintaining the speed at around 240km/h during the second turn you should pass by the c4 in the middle of the corner. when you managed to go out of the corner at max speed just steer straight to the finish line and not preserving the ideal trajectory. I personally owned mini with a maximum of 1 second gap. good luck! OH, and the last 2 hints: keep as close to ideal trajectory as possible at all times! and avoid any collisions at all costs!

Read the ign guide on race driving properly, I shaved off 10 seconds just by reading that, practice, make sure you dont skid, skid to much and you slow right down, and not all games are for everyone
Also, change your traction control to level 3, this helps. Keep an AT trans and thats about it. I had to slingshot past the last 2 cars on the final stretch to come in 3rd.

This is the same answer I had posted for a previous question above... Its the same question so here is my solution to it...
1. go behind the first car.. listen for the noise... if you hear a loud wind sound then you are not in line with the front car (you try to be within the draft caused by the front car). If you hear no wind when trailing behind the car infront of you then you are in the draft zone which means that you will pick up speed!
2. Stay close to the second pack of cars..again try to stay within their draft zones... but eventually try to overtake this pack from the top side. At this point, the time shown should be below 8 seconds for you to try to be no 1.
3. The third pack.. stay close to this one also, but overtake from the bottom of the track.. again stay within the draft areas caused by this third pack of cars
4. After overtaking them, you should be now hot on the trail behind the car in the 2nd position. Aim to find the draft zone from this car. Once you are in the draft zone behind this second car, "catapault" your car (as it picks up speed behind the second positioned car) by overtaking this car from the bottom of the track
5. Now you have you eyes set behind the 1st positioned car. Again aim to be at the draft zone cause by this car... before you know it, your car should pick up speed behind the 1st positioned car. Now as you get closer to that car, try to overtake it from the bottom of the track. It will be a close one, as I just managed to overtake that car by a fraction of a second to claim 1st place :)

Easy answer? ride the right hand rails on the second corner you should be able to corner at 100mph :) youll already be half way through the pack on your 3rd corner
LOWER THE TRACTION CONTROL TO 5 OR LOWER!
Turn off traction control (1 or 2) or completely off and turn off ASM. it worked for em, came 1st
Turning off the ASM and keeping traction at 4, helped me for 3 place...
1. I keep coming 4th by 0.004 seconds and its annoyin me. all I do is don't take the line that all the other cars take.

For the 2 last races is the Mustang gto/ tuned
I found that the tuned corvette zo6 is the easieast way to win this challenge.can buy it from the gran turismo section in dealerships
I found that the mines gtr works the best for any race in the S class that is all manufactuers. it has out of this world cornering. like the evo, but it has more balls than the evo.
I used the amuse s2000 gt1 turbo
I used the blitz skyline but you can use the viper tuned
Amuse or corvette/tuned. note: after the 2nd turn (when you start the race) go to the grass. you gonna have a penalty but you are in high speed, 180 km/h with amuse, so dont hurry you will pass 1 or more cars because they just did a turn. 4 second is the penalty.
Ford GT LM is a nice car to deal with S10,it is really fast but easy to spin while you hit the brake hardly just before you attack the corners.To avoid that case, you have to make sure your brake is based in the front instead in the rear. e.g. 7f./3r.
Us the Amuse S 2000 Gt1 Turbo, takes a few practise but I won by 4 seconds
Used the Amuse as well. All gear ratios at the highest for best acceleration as well as the final drive ratio all the way up. Max downforce and 113% on the weight and maxed out the horsepower with respect to the points. Took me 4 weeks before I finally finished 3rd. Got the Ferrari F1-2007...woo hoo.
I used the Tuned Lotus Elise maxed out with the gear ratios tweaked a bit. It has the handling and that's where it won the races for me.
Lotus Elise 111R rather then just the Lotus Elise... my bad.

Go bewhind the people and gain speed, ten pass them, you shud get at least 2nd withn practice
A. Although following the apex line would be ideal, it is hard to follow with so many other cars. Stay close to it as possible.
B. I have observed that I maintain/gain speed passing on the outside, and lose speed when passing on the inside. Maybe the programmers factored in some physics?!

Clear A, B, and C with 3rd place or better
You can buy them. go to dealerships and then go all the way along untill you reach grand trismo and they have tuned cars there
Think a little bit it is so easy just look at the car manufacture grand trismo pre tuned! be a little smarter
Go to dealerships, then near the end there are manufacturers, like mines, blitz concept bt GT-5 ect. Go into that and tthere they are.Wow. they are faster, & cooler than a normal car.Wow
S10 can't be finished it is impossible. I've finished all the races including the dealers and have been playing this race for the last 3 weeks. I have used nearly every car and combo. I've even used the Mine Nissan which is the one recommended 9th was my best position the preformance points restriction is the problem because it has been set to low. Don't forget the disappointment of GT4 first time I never finished at Gran Turismo game this is the second and last.
Try with Amuse S2000 GT1!
Mine will do. only set up your car for high accelaration. dont worry about top speed
Tune your car: toggle final gear ratio for acceleration, this means bringing down the top speed, but not too low or you will lose valuable seconds in the straights. and most definitely take off traction control and ASM! active steering may help on mild. use mines bnr skyline. if you havent passed your first car by the hairpin on the first lap. your off pace. good luck drivers
I've done using GT'06 Special Edtion...Try to set up your car, decreasing the HP and the weight. then you can improove the steering and the acceleration...You need to get the vacum in the long straights...in the most of curves, I use to break but without stop acceleration.. this improve the traccion and you are faster in curves..

You can't put body kits on the car in GT5 Prologue.If you want,purchase tuned cars which have body kits like side skirts and carbon hood etc.They are also performance tuned.
Tuning a car has nothing to do with dressing it in a skirt !

There are no cheat codes for this game. a8 can be done by hard work only.
StrangeVision -- Set traction control 5 to 7, one of the 3 and let turn off everything else. dont full break while in turns.. half break with gas helps. No need to do a full turn. half to 3/4 turns help control the car and you wont lose control ( also why we have traction control on )
Traction control off. keep to the driving line. on the first corner crash into the car in front of you, and then go down the lane on you left. you should come out at 12th place. it works for me.
This is the only way,but if you want to get more money faster,complete dealership events.Remember,you must have that car that is permitted to race in.If you don,t have a car that type,you have to buy it.Be careful.There are level 2 penalties in these events.E.g.Is you hit a rival car in this event,your speed will be reduced to 50km/h.

That money cheat doesnt work.... ive updated to latest version before doing the cheat - does that make any difference? the game just enters demo mode when I start pressing the x button. thanks
