On time trials when you beat the ghost by seven seconds you get these. You need these to get cars and characters.

When you defeat a ghost by seven seconds it says under the times "You have unlocked an Expert Staff Ghost"
It will say, "a fast staff ghost has been unlocked" after you complete three laps fast enough.

I think you must be in first place in all the cups in order to open a new cup and repeat the process to win the rest of the remaining cups. You can check this out by looking at your character's license and see where you need the golden trophy and for what mode you need to be in.

I can't do it, but I know how. Choose manual. when the race starts, look to the left and you should see a mushroom next to the wall. Press b and jump on it (this next part need skill,and I have none =D) ((for this part anyway)) I think you press b on the wall until you end up behind the finish line and drive through it. lap one complete. repeat until race is over. ( sorry if this dosent help)

Get windex it really helps. If it has scratches it gets rid of them in one wipe. If that doesn't work then its either your Wii or the mini circle near the centre of the game disk is scratched and you can't play it because that is where the disk is read! I doubt it isn't scratched in the middle since it is really rare to have that happen to you but you never know. Hope this helps! -Answer by:NBA 2k10 rules
They are spiny shells and their task is to attack the leader by hitting their car or bike and makes an explosion like a bomb. It happens all the time if you are in the lead. To avoid them, use a mushroom to boost away from them. Your timing needs to be perfect, though.

There is no rainbow cup. Its actually called Special cup. To unlock it you have to get a trophy (Gold, Silver, or Bronze which is 1st, 2nd, or 3rd) in Mushroom and Flower cup which unlocks Star cup then win a trophy there and it will be available -Answer by:Icon327
