Well, the gate isn't just sitting there. Lots of people say that if you get a S+ on every slope, it opens and you can go through.
O.K. its very hard it will take a while you must be touching the gate then press ABABABABABAB RAPIDLY THEN IT WILL TELL U BUT U HAVE TO HAVE EVERYTHING UNLOCKED
I have said the answer on another question like this, but the gate unlocks a secret terrain park/ slalom/ fun course. (proof? go off the jumps and look at the left of your tv screen- you do not have to move the character. you will see a bunch of mini circus tents and some slalom gates. you will only see these on the jumps after the jump where there are dolphin statues on the left.) hope this helps:)

The last animal is the yeti. He's in bigtooth canyon which is on the path between elephant stage and owl's nest/deer step on the left side.

Hi, CEO Jim is in big foot canyon. Here is some directions that may help you. Go to lift 5 and go between the yellow sign and dead tree. Ski all the way down until you hit a cave. Keep to the LEFT side of the cave and you will fine CEO Jim

Hi, once you found the first orienteering person, go to the top of bunny hill. Ski down, and you will find a guy with what looks like a stick over his head

James is not down the bunny hill he is above there. go to course map ( + ) and turn around with the numchuck control stick and he is up the hill a little bit, but that wont take long at all.

First press the Z and B buttons on the wii rmote and nunchuck, swing them side to side the whole way down and wala you get S+
Eaither do a snow plow turn (c button) or do a wendil (z and b buttons at same time and swing wii mote and nunchuck left to right, sorry for spelling) I hope this advice will help u
Wedeln the entire way down and avoid all ramps except the trick ramp and let go of b and z before you get on the ramp or you cant do tricks corkscrew works fine.
