Im afraid you dont have the right graphic card you must get a new one around 40-60 $
You probably need to updade your video graphics card. I had the same problem, I bought a new computer and everything works just great.
And until you beat the plot in story mode, you can't really go into build mode, but I think that you can go into buy mode, maybe...

What do you mean buy a closet? Where? Do you mean buy a chest of drawers? Because I bought a chest of drawers and still didn't give me the option to change her maternity clothes while my sim is pregnant....I agree those maternity clothes are ugly!
You have to buy one of the tall chests, with the two doors, not a chest of drawers.

Yes put in this cheat - boolProp TestingCheatsEnabled true - ***WARNING*** there might be 3 tombstones in your house after that. But you can have as many kids as you want. And you can hav alien babies too. If you want an alien baby type that code in then buy a telescope ***HOLD*** Shift and press the telescope then press Get Abucted.

Make a family and have 3 people then go try for a baby with the husband and after type in the cheat bar forcetwins and youll have 5 people!(:
Or make the mom and three kids as one family and move them into a house and put a phone in there for them. Then make what will be the dad and three kids and move them into a house right next to the mom and kids so when visitors come it will be one of them of maybe two. Use the "addneighbortofamilycheat on" cheat, without quotations. Then have that person call the other kids there and add them to the family as well. Then have the parents get married and you will have six kids!

open up cheat box, type in boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true
then press and hold shift and click on any sim in your family,
then click, 'spawn' click tombstone of L and D, then move it where you want it in build mode, and then click on it, and click new baby, new CINEBABY, new toddler boy, new toddler girl etc. and then get in that baby, (for a baby you cant get in, press and hold shift and click on the baby then click make selectable, then baby will become unselectable, then do that again, and you can get in him) and click the tombstone, and do 'rename sim' or 'make me family child'

No you can't download any thing from d Internet because it's laptop friendly so you cant download anything I try to but you cant sorry and if you do download any thing then your game will work slower sorry!

You can click on a computer and click "Find own Place" or something like that....then it pops up a screen (I don't know....I read this in the instruction manuel) and it lets you choose which sim you want to move out. You can take other sims with you.

To move a family out, you have to go to the neighborhood and go on family mode and use the family bin button and click the house and it will say Move ____ Family to family bin?

First try shift on your dude. if you can find tombstone L and A (something like that) get it n put it outside. press on da tombstone. click on change kids name or something. hope that helped! or maybe b4 you can get the tombstone, I think you have 2 get abducted by aliens 1st. thats wut I did

The lock at the top of the goal is there because you right clicked on the box, right click it again and it'll go away or right click Mickey's goal and it'll lock his too. You can lock any goal or aspiration like getting that 7th cooking skill point! :) As for having a baby shower when you click on the phone select "throw a party" another group of options should pop up saying "baby shower" or something like that click that. Throw a good party and you'll achieve your goal.

You cant but you can make them get taken away (not teens though) all you have to do is lock them up and dont do maxmotives and they will be taken away

Get them to hate everyone on the property and have everyone hate them
