Q:Any tips on how to achive this one on Civilzation Rev?
That We May Live in Peace (25) Win the game by year 1000 AD on King difficulty or higher.
A1:
Go for a domination victory with Germans or Aztecs on one of the war scenarios.
A2:
Play the Scenario "Lightening Round" and go for a tech victory.
A3:
Use the Zulus on King difficulty. Manually set both workers to Science production. Make sure you select Horseback Riding as your research subject BEFORE you press the B button to end the turn.
WIthin a couple of turns you will have researched Horseback Riding. Choose Bronze Working next but you will probably never need to actually build an archer. Swith both workers to Production, crank out/rush build horse units. Try to use them against Barbarians to buff them up -- choose Infiltration if you get the option. Form armies as soon as possible.
You must rush and take risks in the scenario to win. Find the other civs as quickly as possible, attack as soon as you can bring at least ONE horse army to bear (they will usually have archers by the time you find them). If you have two, you may be able to take the in one turn. At any rate, as soon as you take another civ, switch their workers to Production and start cranking out more horsemen. IMPORTANT: once you take a new civ, switch trade to GOLD only. You don't need science once you have the horsemen if you move quickly.
You'll be raking in some money from Barb huts on the way. Use it to build roads. If you don't build roads, you will probably not be able to bring your horses together quickly enough for the last couple of assaults -- which might be all the way on the other side of the map, depending on how it spawns. So, keep in mind that roads have to be a priority. Once you have conquered two of your opponents, you are going to be able to crank out three horsemen within a couple of turns of one another, so as long as you can keep them moving toward the front quickly, you have a good shot at a win. By the time I took on the last civ (the Indians), they had a level 5 city with a wall -- but I had two Infiltrator horse armies and five others, some buffed and some not. Took it in one turn, walls and archers notwithstanding.
One other important factor in this scenario is luck. Just as in the deity level games, you really do need a certain amount of luck to get an advantage (Barbs give up horsemen, you find Seven Citites of Gold (making it possible to instantly link your civs by roads, etc.). My strategies are based on straight gaming -- I don't play by saving and reloading, so if you end up wandering around for ten turns and not finding the other civs you might as well try again with an new game.
Q:How to get the "200 resource per turn" achievement?
A1:
Play as Americans and build a city near mountains. You'll need the iron mine and factory buildings. American factories triple production in Modern era.
Q:How do you know what city is the capital of another country?
A1:
Know your geography is one way. Most of the time the capital is the one with great people and most builings in it. Usually has largest population as well.
The way I got him was I maxed out my culture( played as a monarchy and built cathedrals and all culture boosting wonders like magna carta) and just sat around waiting till 3000AD when game is out of time. You get a great person about every 8-12 years. I got Homer this way but I still can't get Agamemnon...
U have 2 send a space ship 2 alpha centari. 2 do that you must reserach space tech and build all the parts which r the fuel, life support, engines, and such and then wait till it reaches alpha centari
Set it on beta scenario and just build one city and win with either economic or culture. do not flip citys to yours and settle the first settler after 100 gold in your city.
A2:
You can take over other cities by attacking just don't start any new ones using settlers. As well I'm not sure if flipping enemy cities affects this or not.
A3:
Just play as the Mongols. You will capture cities as you invade barbarian encampments, but these do not count against you. When you get the free settlers at 100 gold, just have them join the city instead of founding a new one. This is one easy achievement.
A4:
You don't need to worry about flipping cities. You will receive the achievement as long as you only BUILD one city. You can flip all within range and still get it.
A5:
Play as the Mongolians and attack the Barbarians. Conquered Barbarian camps become Mongolian cities but don't count against the city count for this achievement.
A6:
Play as the mongols and take over barbarian villages. These do not count. Don't settle any cities, just conquer and you will get this victory.
A7:
The absolute easiest way to win is Mongols on the Beta Centauri scenario - in fact, you can do this pretty easily on Deity level and knock out a number of achievements. When I did this I got a map with a huge continent and in a matter of about 15 minutes, got 20 cities where the other civs had 2 or 3 tops.
You can win all but the Tech Diety achievement this way by building up your cities until you get to either the cultural or banking win scenario - start building the wonder, and make sure you save a turn or two before it's done. After winning, load that save and change the wonder to something else (ideally the other winning condition) and save again right before winning, then reload and complete the conquest victory.
