How do you salt and season the food?

You use the - button.
don't forget to click done in the bottom left after you finished or the spice won't actually get applied.
When you are cooking or chopping an ingredient you use the buttons on the left remote (nunchuk). It brings up a spice menu. Select the desired spice then click OK and finish cooking or chopping. You can purchase spices at the market.
I dont know if it says Done to your game, but in mine it says OK so press OK to add spice.

Anybody have success with pleasing the critic at the mexican restaurant?

Do perfect on everything. Guarunteed pass. Just add the spices that the recipe calls for
Dude. I CANT EITHER! Well... first of all I dont have the right spices cuz I cant figure out how to cut the EFFING PEPPER! But whatever. I'm pissed off!
I FINALLY beat the Food Critic for the La Fuega. When you have an order that has an item that says "Needs Spice" when you click to add the ingrediants it's going to give you a vertical list of ingredients on the left side of things you are suppose to put in it. Most of you...like me...were just trying random things..no no no...you have to put what is SUPPOSE to go IN the dish. It gives you 3 or 4 items that makes the dish "correct". When you put the right items as specified in it...then you'll pass. I had NEVER noticed it before. I played this about 30 times before I finally saw it! I was wondering what I was doing wrong. But thats what you have to do...put the items that they tell you on the vertical list on the left side IN the dish.
Just go back to the market after you have completed another day of service,he will let you then buy spices, but remember what it says your customers like so you have plenty in your rack.i tend to keep 5 of every avaliable spice b/c you can also experiment to unlock new recipes such as adding onion to a burger while its cooking on the grill to get the onion burger and fries on your menu at the gravy chug.
Easy do perfect on evry thing and spices

There's no heatmetter on the screen, as it says on the manual. I have to guess if the food's ready from the steam. Where's the metter? Also please I would like to ask how can I use the chef I hire? He's shown on the down right side of the screen, he talks all the time but he doesn't help. Thank you.

A1:
I know that if you have the difficulty level set as "Hard", the meter goes away. On "Easy" it is there. To use the assistant chefs, you actually have to drag an item from the order ticket to them. Then they'll complete it if they can. Some items they can't do, but it will show an "X" through them if they can't.

I haven't been able to use any of the Chef Spices that i've purchased from the market. I've read the book and it says I must first move to the cooking view where your to-be-spiced ingredient is located. I've scanned the whole kitched scene and I can't find. Should I be using a nanchuck to locate it? It driving me nuts, i'm sure it's a simple thing to do. Please someone help -)

A1:
According to our book, you have to push the minus "-" key to show the all the spices. I have done that and the screen comes up, but I've never purchased any to use yet.
A2:
When standing directly in front of the food you need/want to season, push the "-" (minus) button to bring up the range of tastes (sweet, salty, spicy, etc). Use the "A" button and the 'Up/Down & Left/Right' Directional buttons to scroll through the selections. Use your "A" button to select the spice to use, then confirm again all the way to the LEFT of the spice choices to actually add it to the food.

This will NOT work if you have the ingredients list open for a particular food order you must squeeze the "B" button to make that go away (back to the clip) first.

I know answers were already posted to the question about how to impress the food critic but it's literally impossible to do. I've tried every which way and still not good enough. Do you only put barb-q sauce on his burger or do you also add salt, pepper, garlic salt, etc? What about the fries? Do you just salt those? I cut the tomato and leaf the lettuce perfectly and till no. He always says the ame thing, "that I didn't properly season hi food." ARRRRGGGGHHHH! Someone, help!

A1:
Look on the left of the screen when you go to add the spices it tells ya wich ones to put in. Just figured this out myself when I couldnt pass it either

Can anyone get perfect with folding in the Mexican restaurant I can only get good?

A1:
Oh yeah, the secret is in your follow-through. when it shows you with the arrows the way you fold, just hold the button and swing your arm kinda fast but gently like a tennis stroke practice swing. That's how I get it ever ytime. Then again you can also get the assistant chef that does it perfect each time. I think there is one or two that can FOR you, but if you wanna try it yourself remember it's in your follow-through ^_^.

I've tried a 100 times to pass the food critic on the first level. Do you add salt to his fries and burger? Do you also put other spices such as black pepper, garlic powder, etc? Or do you only put barb-q sauce and that's it? Please help! Thanks.

I have tried 20 times to beat the critic and have tried everything....it is driving me foolish almost to the point where I dont want to play it...any ideas?

A1:
Everything has to be cooked/prepared PERFECT. If anything is even just "GOOD" he will not pass you. Trash anything that is not perfect. You can take your time and not rush it but you MUST get it right!
A2:
Make sure everything is perfect, and only spice when it tells you to. When you bring up the spice rack it tells you on the top left which spices to add.

Ok, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to make the Food Critic happy in just the first level! I've tried everything I can think of and I still have problems! PLEASE help me!?

He orders a special. Have to open your spice rack with the - button. He wanted BBQ sauce on his burger for me.
Did you add the spice?
I've tried a million times too and can't seem to impress him either. I saw the barbecue sauce he wanted on the burgerand I added it along with salt, pepper, and garlic. Maybe thats not how it's done. With the fries I just add salt but maybe thats wrong too. I'm about to give up. But it's so fun.
I think for the critic, yeah he not only usually orders a special (which the seasoning on specials is very simple, usually only one spice per object so don't add if it don't indicate it needs "Spice") but I think he also needs it to be PEEEEERFECT! Like each step, "Perfect" each time. Unsure but I know when/if he orders specials they must be seasoned as instructed. No offense to the creative, take heart, I did the same thing when I discovered the spice rack til I learned the computer isn't me and doesn't want onion AND garlic in it's burgers always XD!

I have tried everything to pass the food critic for The Gravy Chug. Have sent out the order seasoned and everything perfect. Does anyone have any suggestions?

A1:
Ok, this is not that difficult, and you need to do the same thing on the 4 restaurants. First, don't try to season the food if he doesn't ask for spices cause he doesn't like any kind of spice. You just can put spices if the food critic orders a 'special', and you know that for the specials they say wich spice you need to put. So, everything that you do must be 'perfect' and be careful about the spices, if it's a special put the spice they ask for, if not, don't use spices. (Sorry for the English, i'm Brazilian ^^)

I can't impress the food critic! I am on level one: Gravy Chung, If you have done it could you please tell me how to do it?! Thanks

You just do everything normally, don't add any spices unless they need it
Add garlic powder thats what I did
You must have five stars and don't do anything like adding EXTRA spices, the only time you add spices is if the critic asks for them. (Usually they do.) You must have every type of spice incase he wants any of them. If you do not have the spices he wants he will not pass you. Hope that helps!

A1:
Waite intill one side of the meat is in the middle green on the meter thing. Then flip it to the other side one waite intill the meat is in the middle green thing
A2:
For rare, place the meat down for just a second and then take it up, don't even flip it. For well-done, cook it right to the moment before it will start to burn, make sure to flip and cook to limit on the second side aswell.
