How do you get gold stars on this game.
Ive seen it before online but I cant get it?

Get a 100% on the song
1st! It only happens on Expert Mode. 2nd! You have to do pretty well and get the most out of your overdrive. If you can get the equivelent of 6 stars they appear as 5 gold ones.
You have to be on expert and get one hundred percent to get gold stars
If you have any other band mates like people playing with you all together do overdrive or if alone just do overdrive alone

Why didnt they keep at least 3 songs on rockband1 on rockband2 without haven to download them from x box live?

They couldn't get the licensing again for those 3 songs to be transferable. Perhaps those artists are a bit more strict with their products.
