Yes just click a b x y left and right when the ubisoft thing comes up. unfortunately it will erase all your data. you can also do it when you want to restart the whole thing, which is what I did.

Right after you click my secret world game on your ds, click L,R,X,A,B,and Y and it should reset the game completely.

5. Click Enable Lock System

Yes, there is only one way. You have to delete the save file. I don't how to do that but look around this site and you'll get the anwser.
I would not recommend a pre-owned copy of this game. If possible, I would get a refund and buy a new one or talk to the place that you got the game for your answer.
