You will need to either buy or synthesize an item called a "Special Flag". Press "X" on the character you want to play as in the menu screen to change the party leader.

You can destroy it by using skills like Piercing Moon that attack the core itself when it's exposed, It might take a few times through but you'll break it eventually. Judith is a nice person to bring along for this battle.

Yes you can. once you have the special flag (made via synthesis) then you can change the leader by going to the menu and pick out who you want to lead, AND you can change during battle by going to the menu and pressing the start button to shift through the battle members. -Answer by:GameGhost

Hit back on the controller that is set for 2nd 3rd and 4th player, whichever is no in auto, you have to have another controller to do this

I'm not real sure but I think it might haft to do with Rita. At one point in the game if you go to torim harber in the inn theres a man if you talk to him he gives Rita a book to decode. every so often when you stay at a inn Rita and Judith talk to eachother at night. At one point Rita talks about wanting to make a new type of Blastia. I think if you go all the way through this you might be able to make it maybe.

You can't switch to Repede but the others only when you beat Tison and Nan

After your 2nd time at Zaphias go to Myorzo and go into the elders house and he will give you an abyssion. Later after you collect the four spirits. go to the one on the 4 isles near nordopolica and your abyssyon will react to the rock. You get a Zarich and can go into the cave(aer krene) explore arond the cave and you'll get a sorcerers ring level 4. whitch can not only break down stronger rocks but unlock the rest of the Fell Arms weapons and a Giganto monster.
