You can do this the same way you assign prisoners to a specific cell. Go to the prison overview screen. Select the tab for "guards." Select a guard, and click on a cellblock to assign that guard to that building. Guards can only patrol one building at a time, and they will patrol the entire building instead of just one room within it. Guards can patrol other buildings too.
When you build building that are for security staff. Which on the construction or build menu will show as a set of keys. Click on the building when you go to the inside veiw of the building. Click on the build button and construct rooms for them. Gaurds will come with the rooms. Numbering in 1-2 with low tech gaurd rooms and up. Its the same with all staff. Security or service.
Select the use 'lethal force' after you click on a guard. This button is set to non-lethal by default. Selecting it will change it to "lethal', and allow you to use guns during riots or controlling prisoners.
Yes, and no. They will usually clean and maintain buildings while on duty automatically. The way to do it quicker would be to hire more janitors and maintenance workers by building more cleaning rooms and maintenance offices in the Staff Building.
Go to the Overview page and click on a prisoner, then right click on a factory in the map, then left click on the factory listed. If it works there should be a pick ax on the factory.
In the same place you select a new guard shack you can select kennels. You have to have increased your security enough to get the option for the kennel. Then the dogs will come out of their cages after you buy the cages.
A2:
First you need to get to med security and then go to the build then security then select the kennels
It is tricky to stop this. there are 2 ways to stop this.
1)Prevention: Set your guards to regular patrol routes, while on patrol they will automatically stop escaping prisoners and fill in escape tunnels. This it the best way to prent even a single prisoner from escaping.
2)Direct action: You can select one of your guards and click on a digging prisoner/the hole and select the stop prisoner action. This is far more hit and miss because you first need to find the escape tunnel, which is very tricky, the best way to do this is to go into the map and look for the exit hole outside of your fence then follow it directly in and there should be an entrance hole that is far less obvious. Once you find the hole and selct a guard it appears to be hit or miss whether you actually get the stop prisoner Icon to appear to give the guard the comman to halt the inmate(s) and even then sometimes the guard just seems to ignore your order. Prevention seems to work far better than this method. But even for a minimum security prison you will need at least 4-6 guards patroling to prevent every escape.
I just recently noticed that when the prisoners are escaping they reappear outside the front of the prison and then take off into the woods. I haven't had the chance to utilize that new found info yet, but I am guessing we have to click on a guard and then click on the escaping prisoner. I will let you know if I have success next time I have an escape.
Ive also noticed the prisioners on the outside after the hole is dug, and in the old games, you use to be able to place patrols outside that fence to stop them, but this one, the guards can't get out to patrol, or even stop the prisoners
Not really a cheat, but it is a glitch. When building your prison after starting a game, select the most expense building you can afford and place it. It doesn't matter where as long as it is green in the building after you click it. Place the building and let it build. Then pause the game, and demolish it. Repeat as many times as you wish. Then unpause and the building will demolish, but you will have a lot more money.
You first go to the button by the bulid button this brings up the prisoners names then select one by clicking it. net bring your mouse over to your housing unit or cell. when you do this it will show you how many beds are empty then slect a bed. remember you must first put beds it the bulidings befor you can assign them beds. to do this you click on the buliding the click the bulid button ( looks like a shovle) and it will give you a choice of a single bed or double. hope this helped
Go to the map and then click on the list that shows the prison guards and the click on the guard and the find th tower on the map and it will show tou an icon the click on the icon on the tower and the guard will be assigned to that particular tower
The best schedule for the guards depends on how many guards you have if you have alot then make each guard a 2 breaks a day if you only have alittle then make each guard have 1 break each day.
Find the escape tunnel(little black spot on ground) and then select a guard and click on the tunnel but guards will find and automatically fill it in if their on patrol
Select a guard by left click, and click on the smiley face to change it to a skull. This will allow them to use guns while in riot mode as well as other lethal measures to control prisoners.
You can't do this yourself. It does it automatically when the time comes, and then states that a prisoner has been executed successfully. You can't control anything that happens to prisoners in RAQ (Restricted Access Quarters), aka death row inmates.

They are sent to your prison over time. There is nothing you can directly do to aquire new ones. Be warned that they will send them to you whether you have beds available or not. So if you don't sucessfully rehabilitate enough parolees you will be forced to either build more beds or face a riot.
Once you construct the building (security, administrative, etc...) and you build the internal rooms, the staff will automatically be in there once you place the rooms.
Example: Build a security building. Click on it and then click on the building tool to see your available rooms. You then place the optional guard rooms, surveillance rooms, etc... If you place a guard room, after building is complete you will see your guard (more then one guard if the room can hold more then one.). In the surveillance rooms you will see your guards monitoring the screens. The same works in your admin buildings, schools and hospitals.
Well you can by building factories and having inmates work in them or there is a cheat though it is time consuming on how much money you want. You first build the most expensive building you have or you already have that you may not want. Pause the game. Go to demolish, and demolish that building. Just keep doing that. Until you reach how much you want. Though after you unpause, The building will demolish.
Idk ether and your dumb ^ cuz if you don't feed them and they die thin your rank of you prison will go down and if I ceps on going down thin you will lose game...
You get workers by building the appropriate "room" for each one. To do this you need to enter a building and hit the build button. This opens the interior build screen. From there you can place a room in unused space for that building. You will need different buildings for different types of employees (IE Security building for guards, Staff building for Janitors and Mechanics, etc).
You have to first build the building that the staff comes in && then you push play && double click the building then push build && a window shud pop up sayin what you can build in that building .. to get prisoners you have to have dormitorys or cellblocks
