There may be a better way of doing it, but this is how I got it to work. Drag the piece of cheese on to the scale. drag the fish tank so that the fish falls on the scale. Then drag the cat to the plate. Drag the cheese to the plate. The mouse will come out and the cat will chase it into the hole and end up under the basket on your top screen. After it's in the top screen, place the cheese back on the scale. This will cause the trap to fall on the cat.
A6 - After the mouse goes out and is eating the cheese, you have to drag the cat towards the mouse, it will then run into the hole. I thought the same as you at first.
Me too! I called tech support and they say that the quote Phil makes about 'becoming quite the gumshoe with that badge,' is a clue that I haven't completed a task/level. I am unsure what I am missing but I am disappointed that I can't play the game any further.
Did you ever figure this out? I have the same problem and it's so frustrating! I've gone through that at least 4 or 5 times now and can't get the game to save anywhere in that last section...I don't get it because he makes the comment about trying harder challenges and unlocking other parts of the game. What could we all be missing?
There is nothing else. You are at the end of the level. You have unlocked the gumshoe level and can play that if you come back in (turn off and back on.)
Like A2 I have run into the same problem. Can someone just give us the answer so we can continue to play the game, if there are other levels to be played or is the game over.
When you come back in you have to build a new profile and select a hire level. If you keep going back to your old saved game it will just keep going back to the last saveable point (the treasure room.)
Pick single player. BEFORE you select a player, hit the trash can at bottom then delete a player, then you can create a new player. it took me forever to figure this out! i'm not much of a game player. -Answer by:jaynie111
The left or Right is on the top of your NDS. Hold down either on and you should see a hand print in lower right hand corner of your screen. Then use your stylus to connect, fill, draw a line, flip whatever it takes. -Answer by:Midnight Mia
Go to the computer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and touch on the icon on the far left, I think it's the X-ray. Scan over the picture and the Will is an envelope looking picture in the bottom right of the painting.
I found that I had to leave at least one item "un-found" in each of the three rooms, so that when it calls for a battery you can go back to each one and see which one the battery has been added to. If you completely finish a room, it won't be able to add the battery.
Tap on the ds icon in the bottom right corner of the screen, then on the icon with the two gears and that should bring you to the save and quit screen.
You have to use the L or R buttons. Find the Sun and the Moon hold down the L or R draw al line between them.

Probably something is wrong with the game. So go to your local store, and ask the people to exchange your game for a new one [bring the box too!]. The same thing happened with my game and I went to the store and they gave me new one.
When the finger presses the button put the cheese on the plate and a mouse appears, then press the cat and it trys catching the mouse. Then falls for the trap.
Put the cheese on the plate. A mouse comes out. Click on the cat. The cat chases the mouse into the hole, comes out on the top screen and sits under the trap. Then put the cheese and the fish on the scale, the finger will push the button and the trap falls on the cat.
Omg i cant find anything either, well i found everything but the gnome, and the plumb bob? like who is bob? and yea.. ive got no hints left and im getting extremely frusterated :plol
Bulls eye - look for the swinging hook look left and down just a bit see a red circle inside a white white circle - make a dot in the center.
Saturn's rings - You have to draw a circle around a planet. Try looking just to the left of the airplane propeller. Just under the wing. -Answer by:Midnight Mia

You need to put the fish on the scale, make the cat go towards the hole, put the cheese on the plate which will make the mouse come out, the cat will follow it in the hole and go to the top screen and then you can put the cheese on the scale with the fish which will then catch the cat.

My L and R buttons didn't work either, what I do is line-up what I want to use the "hand" on within the bottom window and then tap are draw what I need
I could not get it to work either ... but if you find the item you need to move.. cut in half .. you have your screen set on it THEN go to the hand icon and do what you need to do... turn the hand icon OFF and go to the next thing. The hand Icon seems to freeze the page so you need to be where you want it to work in the first place
The hand icon won't move, it's just there to show that you can interact with different things. If you want to interact with something just hold down your L or R button and "scribble" on that item.
The gold coin is on a log in the bottom right corner. You have to hit the L or the R and rub off the bark and the coin will be under there. And I think the noodle might be wrapped around something I'm not sure. It's more toward the right in the picture.Hope that helps.

Yes - the noodle is to the right, it is going up-down.. a spiral type noodle.
You need to make the five crossed off. Find the four single adjacent lines (carved in the post). Then you need to draw a single diagonal line across those four lines (using the hand tool, and holding down the 'a' while drawing the diagonal line).
The differences in the ski scene are: snowman in front of lodge, airplane in sky, chimney & smoke from house in bottom corner, penquin below house, stripe on inside pant leg and single ski on second guy.
In the advanced detective ski scene the differences are as follows: Chimney on house, airplane, sunglasses on second guy, penguin in bottom right corner, Phil's eyes are closed and color of the yellow mitten.
May I ask where to find Madame Fate? I have finished 5 times
on all difficulty levels but never have I seen or heard of Madame Fate that I know of. Thank you.

She is in the detective level when you are returned to Phil's study it says zero objects to find but the computer tells you something about trains - The fortune teller prattles on and on and you can't get away from her - That is where I am stuck at the moment
To "blow the trumpet", just press L or R and draw on the trumpet with the stylus.
Also, you may need to use the X-Ray goggles to see the milk. Get this by tapping the picture of the DS in the lower right of the screen, it's in that menu, second from the left.
If there is a blue sparkle spot tap on it. Your picture should zoom in to that particular area. It also means interact with objects. -Answer by:Midnight Mia
