With a right handed shot, I go along the right side of the ice and hold LT(using classic controls) and wind up and shoot around the top of the circle and 7 out of 10 times it goes in
Shoot forehand and try to get the puck right above his leg pad and under his arm pit it goes in about 75% of the time
Try aiming your shots so that they don't hit the goalie

Well I played for the Norfolk admirals which is the Tampa Bay Lightning's AHL team and I got called up after about 15 games or so because Olaf Kolzig got injured, but when he came back the Lightning sent down mike smith, not me o.0

Depending how you have your game clock set, I usually change up when my players fatigue hits between yellow/orange.

You get points from how many games you play I think the first one is like 30 games then 60 and so on
I get atribute points after every game like 30 every game lol strange
Go to your Performance tracker, then click RB to switch from offline to online performance. then it will show which player card you have (ie. rookie, pro, superstar..etc). It will tell you how many games you need to play and what player rating you need to achieve to unlock that card. For example, you need to play 20 games and get at least a B- rating over all to be a PRO, giving you 4 attributes per category to spend...i believe.

My golie is 95 aerage almost a veteran I never got called up.
You have to score a lot of goals and you have to be on the first line to be called up to the NHL.

Try going into my nhl on your main menu, and reset the rosters, or you could choose the edit player menu and make your other guy not as good so no one will pick him up and after your rosters are reset look in the free agents area under player movement and trade him to a national or European team to get him out of your be a pro mode
Or you can just delete the pro profile of the guy you don't want. I had the same prob and that fixed it.
Its really not a problem. Its that you created a player in Be A Pro Mode and also in regular NHL 09 roster. In BAP mode, another team will pick him up because he was most likely a free agent.
You just can't... I had the same problem... I created a 99 overall goalie... I found out he was still there in be a pro once I was at the Stanley Cup Final lol. He won the Vezina, I won the Norris. There's absolutely nothing you can do, you're gonna have to start another Be A Pro season! And there is no way to delete a created player so what I do is I give him a very bad overall, change his name and put it in the free agents to make sure no team will sign him... I know, it sucks lol!

Sure, go to settings, select go outside and than try to guess whats going on while you pushing the buttons outside of your home.. Never tried this, but it works 100%.........

Come up the left wing, cut across just past the blue line, pull right on the right analog, then back on the right analog without letting it go, then your push the right analog forward. I do this and I average 4 goals a game. No one can touch me in this game. Go Pens

Wrap around shots work really well for me. Skate into the zone along the boards opposite of your handedness (if right shot, skate up the left boards), keep going until you are slightly past the net, wait for the defenders to chase you, skate to the other side of the net, shoot at the goalie's five hole if he is standing, shoot up near the post if he is on the pads.
Go up the boards, go past the goal line, fake doing a wraparound go toward the corner of the net and shoot through or past the goalie
