Will the Guitar Hero World Tour controllers (guitar, mic, drum set) work with the Rock band 2 software?

Once you create a band and then go on tour, you can earn money to upgrade your character (outfits, etc). But HOW DO YOU SAVE it all? I have tried, Options, Manage Data, Save...but it will never let me pick Save. Save is always subdued except at the very beginning of the game before we play. Help.

Cheat codes to unlock songs does not work. When you go to menu/extras/modify game, when you try to hit the codes Red,yellow.... the second you hit red, it takes you to the previous screen. Anymore got any more ideas? HELP!
