I am completely confused some say yes while others say no. Does somebody have GHWT for the Wii and it's instruments? If so have they themselves used the quitars for GHWT on Rock Band 2 and have them work?
Yes, I have GHWT instruments and use them with RB2 on Wii. And, the 2nd cymbal works as the "blue" drum pad (so there are effectively 2 pads for blue).
It does that because you're most likely using the WiiMote to select stuff like Quickplay, so the game automatically assumes that you're going to use the mic even though you're trying to use a guitar. unless you're using the GH:WT guitar, I recommend not using the WiiMote at all.

Use the guitar to select instead of the wii remote. The vocalist uses the wii remote which is why it asks you to plug in the mic.
Only available for Xbox 360 and PS3. Code is on the back of the manual with instructions on how to get it. Go to rockband.com to enter your code. No code on the back of our RB2 Wii manual so I guess thats just one more thing Wii owners are screwed out of.
You have to connect the WII to the internet in order to do it. My husband and I have downloaded many songs for our WII for Rock Band 2. And, BTW, the cheat codes to unlock all songs for other consoles are the same codes to do it on the WII. We have unlocked all songs on RB and RB2 using that r,y,b, r, r, b, b, r, y, b
After entering cheat code it will indiate it was successful. Then you have to SCROLL DOWN and click on the box to unlock all songs. Took me awhile to find that out myself.
You can either use the cheat code (Red, Yellow, Blue, Red, Red, Blue, Blue, Red, Yellow, Blue), go to cheats and tick it, or you can simply play Tour Mode and get them the old fashion way.
After you enter the code, go back in and you will find an "unlock" box to check- you'll need to scroll to it. You will have to unlock the box each time you start the game.
Well, it will unlock all songs though, but if you want: go to the main menu the to extras then to modify game then press red, yellow, blue, red, red, blue, blue, red, yellow, blue to unlock all songs

You need to go to extras and modify game, and then enter the code, it will then allow you to select (check it off) it when you want to use this feature.
You have to go to modify game, and then go to cheats codes at the top and then hit it. After that hit the notes in the cheat and then press continue. Then go down till you find it.
