You click on yur dresser and then plan outfit when youre finished then put it on
Buy a dresser and click on it. you will be accessing create a sim
Go to "plan outfit" at you dresser and it will bring up the Create A Sim mode. Select a category and theres a little symbol on the upper left corner that lets you have another outfit. You can have up to three different ones at a time.
Click on your dresser, then you can either say plan outfit to create more outfits, or just click on another set of clothing that you already have.

Click on the arrow showing at the top left corner of the picture of the grouped items. Drag the item using the arrow instead of clicking on the center of the picture.
There is no arrow, but the square the item shows in has a triangular shape in its upper left corner that you use to click and drag with to move all at once. You also use this triangle by clicking on it to open up a sub menu that will show you the items individually so you can see their quality or weight.
Dont forget you can sell your fruits, veg. and fish you catch at the grocery store.
Click on your frdge click open your inventory should pop up and the fridge inventory drag your food into the fridge inventory
Does your sim has any cooking skill? well if he/she does ave sills then its probably because the sim is not looking after it
Maybe your sim needs to learn more skill in cooking.
Try buying a better stove or increasing your cooking skills.

Try raising your cooking skills up a bit by buying cooking books, and reading them. If your sim is absentminded, and forget what they're doing, you may have to stay there and watch them, and click the food, and continue cooking. If this happens, the food may still come out decent. Your sim is probably just not a good chef. I trained mine from a child with the toy oven, and the food came out perfect... but his father was a 10 star chef with a natural cook trait, and though the kid didn't have that trait, he kissed his hand and raised it to the air like his dad did before his muffins came out perfectly. A fire detector comes in handy, so that at least if you have a cowardly sim, the fire department will come and save you...or if you're brave enough, you can choose to extinguish. If you're singed, don't cook, or attempt to fix (repair/upgrade) ANYTHING (especially if you are fire prone (absent minded, clumsy... etc)) you are more flammable.

That happened to me... it happened when I moved my cheap stove to a place with no proper ventilation (i think) you must place the stove near a window I guess. when I did that I dont get fires anymore,,, although I always burn my pancakes lol good thing I have a new stove now ^_^
Go to Cooking School, reach level 2, Come back and try cooking!
You go onto build mode and click on the paint brush and paints (its where you chose to hold stuff like hand mode) then click on the thing you want to customize.
Buy what you want customized you go back to build or buy and by the sledgehammer and eye drop there is a painting thing you can click on and then click on the thing you bought.
Go to buy mode! You will see the icon next to the hand icon that is a paint pallette. Click on this and then click on your bed or whatever to customize.
One cool thing I found was that you can actually drag patterns or colors that you are currently working with in create a style. For example,u clicked a couch to customize, and then chose say...
blk & wht checkered (or whatever you like) while you are in CAS(create a style) click on the checkered pattern that you still have in the "tray" from the couch, and just drag it to any item you can customize! It helps to match colors to,u can do this with all kinds of things in CAS!

Someone from your family has to have the green tumb trait,to be able to grow it in your garden.Otherwise keep it in your inventory and you can use it when the death comes for you.
Once planted it'll become a flower harvest it & if you die you can give it to the grim ripper & he'll spare your life!

She has to get to a certain level in her career and they will ask her which branch she would like
Once you get promoted from level five in the music career , it will ask you which branch you want to take ( symphonic or rockstar ) and you just choose symphonic . :)

Me too, but there was only two people in the household! My female sim was a ghost, my male was not.

That means that there are too many people in the female sim's household. Try having her move in with you first, and then try for a baby. I saw that option, but that's because the female's household is full. If you don't have the option to have her move in (it shows up while you're at your house.), then keep trying romantic advances till you get that. Even woohooing and all. I proposed to mine, and saw the option...I just didn't use it, and she drowned in my pool, so I had to play the grim reaper for her life in chess. She's one of my sim's girlfriends, but the other two have 2 sets of twins, so he'd have to move out if he wanted to try for a baby still. You can only have up to 8 people in a household at a time. I think that's for speed, and difficulty.
For the person with the ghost thing... maybe the graveyard is too full... try I never heard of a female ghost having a baby, but I never did it... Try moving the headstone/tombstone into your lot... maybe that will work since you said that you only have 2 sims living there. I read somewhere that you can delete the headstone when the ghost is not near it, and it will live there and stay out all day. Save it before you try that though, because that's a permanent thing, and ghosts don't clean up after themselves, and dive into/out of toilets, and scare people. Other sims crowd around the ghost, and ignore you, and they don't stop, or scare burglars... They are great tutors, and at watching children though... so I hear. Check if they can feed infants...I never tried.

I just got a laptop and the sims3 is running fine on mine-maybe its just your computer.?
Mine is slow too. I know it's my computer, but I have AntiVirus and I defragment my drives and everything. I have no idea what's causing the game to run so slow.
Try downloading this thing called GameBooster. it closes all programs that your computer doesnt need running which makes your game alot faster
Check your memory space cause mine ran slow and i've got windows 7 it turned out that I had 1 kb free space so delete the stuff you don't need and it'll go faster

Apparently when your sim first shows signs of pregnancy the gender is decided so, eat apples (for boys) or watermelons (for girls) on the first day of pregnancy when the sim is not showing :) hope this helps :)

You can only do ultra speed if you are doing an activity that takes ages. for example if your giving someone a hug you cant do ultra speed. but if your reading a book, or sleeping then you can. :D

To get your sim to propose click on the sim you want to propose to and go into romantic, in there should be propose engagement but only if your relationship with the sim is high enough. if your sim has the inappropriate trait then I think you may be able to propose when the two sims havent got a high relationship, the sim being proposed to says no to that though.

It would help if your sim had the family oriented trait, the flirty trait, good kisser etc. If they don't, just use the challenge reward.

Babysitters are usually teen boys. hire a babysitter but leave a your teen in the house, then ask him to hang out once an adult returns. build a relationship with him. If you have Generations then teens can sneak out. They may get the 'out after curfew' moodlet and taken home by the police

You bet! Its so much better than the sims 2. You can go anywhere in the town like on the streets ect!
Seeds are found on the ground all over town. You just have to look closely. Try using your zoom. And remember that you need the appropriate skill level for certain plants to survive after you plant them.
The best way is to gain enough opportunity points to buy the collection helper. It will show up in your personal inventory as a big butterfly. Click on it and choose its option for seeds and then use your city viewer to see where they are and then go get them.
Cheat = control-shift-c then type "debug on". When you go to buy mode you will find a ? box in the sort by function. Under the garden tab you will find plants and boxes to set locations for seeds to appear.

Just because they live together does not mean they know eachother. You have to have them talk just like everyone else. The marker will not say "Best friends" but the friends list will have a marker for best freind when they are. Use the cheat "testingcheatsenabled true" then while controlling the sim you want to modify the traits hold SHIFT and click on the sim. Then select "Modify Traits for Active Sim" and it will allow you to change the traits. This cheat also allows various other thing when holding SHIFT and clicking on the household's mailbox. The "Make Needs Static" selection prevents the sims needs from draining.

Unfortunately you have to buy a dresser. This is the only way to get new clothes. But the good thing is that the possibilities are practically endless. You dont need a clothing store anymore. Once you buy a dresser to click on choose the plan outfit option. This will take you to the clothing creator. You will be able to create 3 outfits of each category(formal, everyday etc.). You can save and/or delete these then or later as you choose. After you're done with that part just click on your sim later on and it will give you the change outfit option. This is where you get a menu for what you want them to change into from the ones you created and saved for them in the clothing creator so you dont have to go to the dresser every time.

You cant have a veil and the only way you can have a wedding dress is to choose a formal dress and change the colour to white. I know this sucks, but its just how it is :(

If you have enough money build a small room, then put the sim in the room and take away the door. In a couple days he should die of starvation if you want him gone faster put a fireplace and have the sim light it. After that put plants around your sim and the fire place and he will burn to death.

Idk about the voices part, but for the bodies separating from the torso, I've had that happen to me too. What I did to fix that is just hit the Windows key on your keyboard. When your playing Sims, hit that key and then open your Sims game back up. I'm not sure why that works, but it does for me. Hope that helps! :)

I dont know all of them but I know there are more than what you listed. There is flame fruit, death flowers, I believe there are sunflowers cause I saw them elsewhere, life plants, eggplants, and cheeseplants. I havent figured out the others yet. Just keep finding seeds, and plants that are found out and about that have fruit to pick so you can plant it. Oh yeah, that reminds me, there's the money tree! I would love to know where that baby is hiding cause I want one of my own!
Most of my special seeds I found near the graveyard including money tree.
Here is the complete list...Apples, bell peppers, burger pattties, cheese, death flower, eggs, flamefruit, garlic, grapes, lettuce, lifefruit, lime, money tree, omni plants, onion, potatoes, steaks, tomatoes, and watermelons.
Type in ctrl shift c, all at the same time. then type in buydebug. A new category in the buy mode will pop up. You will see a question mark in the categories. Hover over each one till you see seed. Everything you need and more is there for the taking!

In case of a computer glitch I would try having my sim quit the job and then go to the computer for job opportunities and wait til my sim could get hired in the criminal track... and then let them go to work on their own. Then pay attention to whatever skills they need to fill for the job level they are at. Maybe your sim was not advanced enough to go in that building yet.

Im not sure how to cook a friends favorite meal either unless Ii had them visit and served them every meal until I hit it. If you're talking about the opportunities though this bugged me too. Why dont they just speak plain english and say make a serving of because thats what they mean?! For instance, serve dessert-( cookies. )by clicking on the stove after you have learned the recipe. Then when the cookies are done grab them into the sims inventory before they start eating it and take it to wherever before they spoil.
