I am stuck on a rock in the water by a log in the slime level, what do I do?

I am stuck also in the cheese level. I am right by what looks to be a windmill. I stepped on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd stone but I can't get up to the next stone. does anyone know how to get up there?

I'm stuck in Trashthulu where you have pads on the floor and an image on the wall which shows some of them in red and the other greyed out. A video on youtube showed Tak walking over the four red ones which made red stuff come out of them. But when I try red stuff only comes out of them when I've walked over them twice and nothing happens to let me continue the game.

What am I doing wrong? It's driving me mad!
