Try jumping to it just as the strage metal frame is on the other side and then run to the outside part of the big rock. It's safe up there and you can take your time to plant it. Of course after you've killed the two baby things outside.
Destroy the 2 power generators,then jump on the rock,walk it to the outside,kill the enemy!then shoot the other 2 power generators,you need to jump off.then back on the rock plant the explosive,then get back inside past the rotating metal arms. -Answer by:DARKLIGHT
Be on the right side of the asteriod, then wait until the bar first starts to rotate aim for the very edge once you hit it run into space kill the two small beasts, then plant it after that destroy both the tithers, if you havn't upgraded your rig o2 then a take a medium tank with you. -Answer by:blackdragon1973

JUmp to the outer edge away from the generator, use stasis on it, when you get to the other side you will see a small control panel this will turn it off so when you come back you wont have to worry about it. -Answer by:blackdragon1973

You have to jump on the asteroid, press X, then jump back off before the two big things slice you to pieces. Then, you have to blow up the four magnet things, and go to the control room to launch the asteroid. I died a lot before I figured it out so don't worry.
You can't jump on and activate the beacon and jump off before the rotors come back round and cut your head off! You've got to jump on from the side wall and run off into the outside into a vacuum. wait for the blades to move back then run back in and activate the beacon.
Once you go outside you can activate the beacon out there and also while you're there don't forget to destroy the 2 gravity tethers that are out there. Make sure you wait for the rotors to just starting to move away from you before you run back in and jump off the rock quick.

Also the tenticals shoot whats like missles out of them an easy way too kill them is to use stasis and then use the shredder ro cut the tenticals of and turn it into calamari. -Answer by:blackdragon1973

There are drops in cabinates you need to open the lockers manually/theres stuff in x-box type boxes stamp on those/theres small floor containers open manually/theres box cabinates on the walls open manually to collect/theres drops on the floor.tables etc just walk over if you want the items you need to press action to collect/the aliens also drop stuff,there other items in locked rooms you need a node to open them.on the PS3 CONSOLE VERSION all iems that are in lockers or cabinates have a BLUE LIGHT on them. -Answer by:DARKLIGHT

I believe the stick needs first to be formatted in the ps3.then you can only use that stick with that ps3 console.the reason is that it stops illegal games being transfered across each console,ie DLC content from psn store.

The cannon control is very loosy goosy, so keep your fire within the center panel, try not to chase the asteroids outside of that panel. The direct hits cause the most damage. This was the most frustrating part of the game for me, be patient. Bad news, Chapter 8, you're back at the cannon, and it is not any easier.
You need a good start,you can fire the cannons lasers RIGHT/LEFT those rocks going outside you,you can vertually leave them,to get rid of big rocks you need to use both lasers at once as the boulders split up into tiny ones,once the guy says "hold on for 1 more minute" you nearly there,its very very very frustrating as the cannon can over heat,dont throw the laser all over the screen try your best to be in control of the movement,tap tap tap the lasers try not to rapid fire all the time then you can keep it from over heating to fast.its so difficult this part even on easy,i understand your frustration.once you get to the certain point the AI CANNON will take over and you completed the objective,so dont slow down keep firing away. -Answer by:DARKLIGHT

The same thing happened to me, the doors to the next level just wont open I dont know where is the problem
You need to open the big huge doors manually on the BLUE SCREEN CONTROL PANEL.

I had the same problem, you move the marker through and get stuck in the next room, the marker refuses to move and all doors are locked.I restarted from that check point trying everything, eventually restarted ,walked back across the last bridge and used the door next to your stasis refill station, that finally worked. If you use the door next to the last save station it locks up. So use the door next to the stasis station.
It is a glitch. I tried going through the other door and that did not work so I moved the marker between the bridges and set another save. Then I quit and restarted from the new point. The marker moves back but I was able to move on and finish the game....

Once in the doorway!dont move,to your right and right just forward are drops,use your energy grabber to collect them,then you got to make a dash into the room,turn left and run into the office,if you can get the stuff in the room quick.then stay there fire at the aliens attacking! and freeze them,get out of the room doorway and the other door forward should begin to unlock when she tells you!get to there to exit.dont forget you come back this way,theres still stuff in this room,you can shoot and freeze and run about to collect the items left over! -Answer by:DARKLIGHT
